How did I not know about this - Edit
So I’ve been checked out of the vegan community in Seattle for a while now, as I pulled back from Facebook but also as the moderators of Vegan City Seattle have become increasingly heavy handed about banning topics and people. So excuse me while I hijack this review a moment to tell you there’s another Facebook group that isn’t on so much of a power trip: Seattle Vegan Society
Read moreOk, back to the review: After a decade in Seattle I cannot muster up a crumb of excitement for Mighty O. I honestly just thought donuts weren’t that good as a category until I visited Doe Donuts in Portland. For me, Dough Joy ranks (slightly) below Doe and well above Mighty O’s (mostly) cake donuts, which are made off site and will never have that just-made freshness I crave.
I have a preference for the adventurous flavors of Doe, while the flavors here are a bit more safe. So far, the inside of every donut we tried was identical in flavor. The bake was perfect! Place was quite pleasant and pretty explicitly vegan with their note about “no upcharges”. I’m not totally thrilled about the auto-tipping starting at 18% for counter service, or dogs in the cafe.
Pros: damn good donuts, Pleasant airy space , Baked on site

There were so many tempting flavors, but I chose a vanilla Biscoff doughnut. It was a little too sweet for me, but still delicious.

Amazing coffee and yeast donuts! - Edit
You can’t help but feel joyful here. The donut holes are a great touch on the espresso drinks. It reminds me of Seattle’s long lost cafe: Coffee Messiah which did the same. Seattle was missing a vegan version of the modern donut shop and so happy these owners and their team made it happen!

Magical donuts served by angels - Edit
Okay their everything but the bagel donut is a game changer. It has ruined all other donuts for me, forever. The other flavors are also delicious. All donuts are soft and fluffy, but not so airy that they’re unfulfilling. And the staff is SO sweet!! We went there two days in a row on our vacation.

Delicious, pricey donuts. - Edit
Nice shop located on Capital Hill in Seattle. I ordered a few chocolate donuts and thought they were great. I would certainly return if in the area and my sweet tooth is buzzing.

The freshness and variety are second to none. As if ordering a delicious oat milk latte wasn’t enough, they serve it with a cute donut hole on the straw! Can’t get enough.

I’ve been waiting for a donut place like this. Now there’s two locations! I’m really glad the No Bones food truck gets to live on as another vegan vessel.

Best doughnuts ever - Edit
Wow! We got a whole dozen of these incredible doughnuts to share with another family, but each doughnut is so gloriously big that we were eating doughnuts for 3 days (they were still great!). My husband said, "I am a connoisseur of apple fritters, and this fritter needs a Michelin Star." My favs were the cookie butter-filled and the churro with chocolate filling. Just the simple chocolate-frosted with sprinkles was so, so good too. The Pride rainbow doughnut is the prettiest doughnut I've ever seen. No offense to Mighty-O, but it's hard to imagine ever getting those again when these are an option! Person working there was so sweet too. And lattes were great as well.

Hell yes - Edit
So good!! Love that there’s a great raised donut option in the area now! I may have been ambitious with my box of four donuts (I am only one person, and while I love donuts I don’t eat this much sugar often) but I just couldn’t help myself. So far the pb&j twist is fantastic, and I will update this review once I’ve had the others 🍩

Amazing Vegan Doughnuts - Edit
My girlfriend and I have made the two hour trip to Portland several times for vegan doughnuts from Doe Donuts. Without a doubt the doughnuts from Dough Joy blow them out of the water in every way. Absolutely worth the drive to Seattle. We may have gone a bit overboard when ordering doughnuts just because we wanted to try so many flavors, but don’t regret it at all.
Read moreI highly disagree with the previous review about the Mango Con Chile the flavor was delicious and I’ve yet to dislike a single one of the doughnuts I’ve tried.
We got there before the line really picked up, but they are fast and the staff are amazing. We saw people come and go with doughnuts while waiting for a fresh made latte, by the time the doughnuts were boxed or bagged they were ready to take payment to get you on your way.
If you were considering trying them, do yourself a favor and go. They always post when they’re sold out and are making more each day as they learn how much they really need to make to not sell out before normal closing hours.
Pros: Delicious Flavors, Wonderful Staff, Line Moves Quick
Cons: Literally Nothing

How can anyone eat the mango/chili?? - Edit
Great donuts, love the donuts. Mango/chili is too much. On every axis. There is no dimension in which this donut is acceptable. I can’t stand it. Inedible.
