South Indian restaurant that specializes in dosas, a fermented crepe made from rice batter and black lentils. Also makes traditional Indian curries, appetizers, bread, and dessert. Reported closed, Jun 2019.
My server did not understand what dairy was which is always frustrating. I ordered the vegetable korma and really didn’t like it very much. On the other hand, my boyfriend got an eggplant dish that was very good.
Tried this place at 4 pm on a Thursday. After traveling for some distance first stop was the bathrom way in the back. On the the way noticed how dirty the area looked. Had to get through a junk filled area to reach the bathroom which was filthy and had to clean the toilet before using. Came back to the booths we were given and noticed that even though they had glass over the top of the table cloth the side that hung out was stained and dirty. At that point imagining what the kitchen was like we decided to leave rather than order. Would give no star if I could.
Thank you Happy Cow app for finding this place for us while we were driving from Niagara Falls to the family farm in the Southern Tier of NYS. The food was delicious and the owners couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. While it has traditional Indian food, it was nice to have the dosas and utthappans that we had never experienced before. We loved everything we had and you can't beat the prices. Wish The Dosa Place weren't so far from home!
A cute, casual, sit down restaurant with a variety of Indian cuisine. large portions and priced reasonably. I would recommend giving it a try.I'll definitely go back.
Bright and clean this restaurant has quality food at surprisingly moderate prices. The Indian dishes have clear descriptions in the menu that assist in determining which items are vegan. They also warn you if you've selected a spicy dish. They also include basmati rice with the curry dishes and the portions are quite large.
