Good place to go with mixed company - Edit
3.5 stars - They have a vegan/ vegetarian section on their menu, which is actually confusing. Several of the dishes have cheese, egg, and cream, and it’s hard to tell how many actual vegan dishes they offer.
Read moreI had the Angry Orchards Red Enchiladas, which is one of their vegan dishes without modifications. It was interesting, unique, and definitely didn’t qualify as enchiladas. They were more like wet tacos (see picture). The heat level was tolerable, but made it hard to taste some of the components like the yellow sauce. I’m glad I tried it, but probably wouldn’t order it again.
Pros: Good place to take mixed company, Interesting Mexican fusion, Complex vegan dishes
Cons: Pricey, Vegan food NOT clearly marked, They use terms like “enchilada” very loosely

Delightful place - Edit
When you're tired of straight Mexican food, try fusion! Great place for vegans and non vegans to enjoy together. Cute park let outside. Tucked at the back of a shopping center.

Vegan menu but not sure if the staff is all entirely knowledgeable about vegan* - Edit
We ate here a few times and the second time we came back we were talking about how we liked this dish that was in the vegan/vegetarian menu and asked for it veganized like last time and the waiter told us it wasn’t vegan. So I had accidentally eaten cream and that’s never a good feeling. Good food, but I probably wouldn’t go back unless that marked the items specifically vegan because I’d be nervous to get served animal products.

Definitely a 5 star! - Edit
This place was amazing! If I could have, I would’ve given it five stars… For the record it’s silly that we can’t give mixed menu restaurants all 5 stars. Families need options for their meat eaters and their vegans alike. The waiters were amazing, the food was amazing and the environment was great. Good food, good prices, good staff...definitely eating here again

Thank you for saying this. I will end up eating a terrible salad at a carnivore restaurant if I can't find a place that serves meat with vegan options.

Would be 5 stars, but happy cow only allows 4 stars for fully vegan places. - Edit
Don Q is outstanding! 4 vegan options on their menu. We had the Chili Relleno and Potato Tacos, both were amazing. Tacos were spicy, but perfect. Relleno features homemade queso. We are not big fans of Mexican food, but this place is something special!! Also, the sangria features lots of fresh fruit, delicious!

5 star!!! - Edit
Would give 5 stars but Happy Cow only allows 5 star ratings on vegan only restaurants. Best food in Atascadero. Very vegan friendly because the chef is vegan.

Rare - Edit
We stood in Atascadero for a small vacation and I was worried that I’d have to drive to San Luis Obispo everyday. Luckily we stumbled upon this gem. I couldn’t decide what to get so I got both the potato tacos and the chile relleno. My boyfriend isn’t vegan, but he loved the tacos.

Vegan Options - Edit
Decided to stop by and try it out. Glad I came in. They just opened 4 months ago and included a small Vegan menu. If you are jamming on the 101 Fwy and want to eat in Atascadero, this is a good stop. Nice on inside. Just ask to be shown the Vegan options. 5 items but it's a start for an area that has not much options nearby.

Delicious! - Edit
So glad we came here. Delicious and fresh. Nice level of spice. Great service. Clear vegan menu. Would recommend if you’re in the area! We got the potato tacos (YUMMMM!) and the poblano pepper (also yum:). Would have a taken a photo but we made it disappear fast.
