Great vegan options, bit pricey - Edit
If you're feeling brave (and hungry) would recommend the tasting menu which they can do all vegan! Team was very accommodating of a nut allergy which is always appreciated. Highlight was the hummus and fried cauliflower - both incredible. Overall a bit pricey for the amount and caliber of food but a wonderful experience supporting a small business.

YOU NEED TO GO HERE. This place is now my number one favourite restaurant in Wellington. Man the flavours are just too good and the prices are amazing. With loads of vegan options even desserts and very authentic food. If you are in Wellington and can only go to one place please please go here it is that good. I want to go back already!!!

gorgeous food - delicious - tons of options. - Edit
I've been meaning to try Damascus for ages - so glad that I finally did! The food was amazing. Lots of vegan options clearly marked on the menu (including an absolutely amazing dessert). Also a lovely ambience (they've moved from the bowling club to a beautiful space on Tory Street). Overall, I would l highly recommend it - one of my new favourites in Welly.

Can’t wait to go back - Edit
Had the vegan plate to share and it was amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed cauliflower so much in my life.

Totally delicious and authentic Syrian food! - Edit
I found the vegan options wonderful giving me a large array of food choices. I highly recommend the vegan heaven platter for two and I actually didn’t feel like much more food after that! It comes with home-made bread and I was very impressed by the freshness that each dish held. You’ll never want to buy hummus in a pottel at the supermarket again! The deep fried cauliflower and chilli potatoes were to die for😄the beet and pea salad had those two flavours exploding through my mouth with the kind of freshness that I hadn’t expected. They took Hummus to another level. You bring your own alcoholic drinks and pay a five dollar corkage charge. I love the atmosphere, very warm and you sit at your table watching the cooks in the kitchen working hard to get that food out😄it’s in one big open room of an old bowling club which makes it interesting. It could be a large family gathering, there’s a kind of intimacy between yourself and the restaurant. I really had no expectations except to see what this family from Syria had created in the slightly quirky space. I came away planning my next meal there with friends and telling everybody I knew about how wonderful the food was. Highly recommend this restaurant.
