Delicious Vegan Pizza! - Edit
We tried the "vegan bacon" pizza at Da Legna X NOLO and it was amazing! There's other options here too! Plus there's a cute outdoor seating area. I want to come back!

Nostalgic With A Sophisticated Twist - Edit
We saw a concert of 90’s bands at the Westville Music Bowl with friends… the four of us ended the evening (and closed the restaurant) by eating pizza outside! It was a very nostalgic evening although back then our pizza didn’t include vegan cheese or sourdough crust!! 😉

Not great - Edit
Waiter seemed annoyed when I mentioned my allergy and said "I’d have to ask" every time I tried to ask if something had basil in it. His greeting to the table was "how can I help you?" which was super weird.
Read moreI got the pollo, which was olive oil and garlic with vegan cheese, unseasoned fake chicken, unseasoned broccoli and jarred artichokes. No flavor at all. I took the pizza to go so I can season it at home.
Just fyi- the vegan bacon is life light bacon.
Pros: There are options
Cons: No care for seasoning topping/pizza, $7 for a few pieces of $3/pkg fakon, Bad service, doesn't care about allergens

Vegan pizza with options - Edit
Parking available in lot. Nice atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Bar available. Vegan pizza options. Two different sizes. It’s thin, crispy, and delicious. Really enjoyed the Pollo pizza. Buffalo pizza is my favorite. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying them all. Service was a little slow (could have been an off night).

Back for more. Started out with an order of bruschetta. Fresh, good serving size, memorable. Moved onto their pasta fagioli. Came out nice and hot. Hearty and flavorful. Nice portion size. Main course was their Vegan Salsiccia. This crust brings me back every time. Nice flavor. Out of the three that I have tried, their Vegan Buffalo Tofu is still their best, followed by the Pollo pizza, then this one. Coming back to try their Polpetta pizza next time.
November 2022 update.
Back in town. Had to stop here to try the Vegan Polpetta Pizza. Very much worth ordering. I’ve had four of their vegan pizzas so far. Pollo (white) pizza has claimed the top spot. Vegan (Buffalo tofu) next. Third will be this Polpetta pizza. Fourth is Salsiccia.
October 2023 UPDATE:
Back again. This time I tried their Vegan Bacon Pizza. My least favorite of all the pizzas I’ve tried here. Two handed pizza without a doubt. If you don’t use two hands, it flips over and toppings fall off. The tempeh bacon was lost on the pizza. I would have preferred a coconut bacon. It has more flavor and is crispy. I would come back … but not for this specific pizza.

New Haven pizza! - Edit
This is my go to for wood-fired pizza in New Haven as they have a whole dedicated vegan section of the menu with really great vegan mozzarella and a few options of protein.

Fantastic! - Edit
Had the Vegan Pollo as no other pizza chain has had white sauce, chicken, or broccoli on the menu and they KILLED it! Was amazing! There are plenty of options veg wise and a lot of faux meats as well if you’re into that. They even have several premade vegan options on the menu which is a rarity for me. Would come back!

Very good pizza - Edit
We ordered the buffalo tofu pizza which was very good -- the crust was crispy and the cheese looked and tasted good. The toppings were a little underwhelming, but not bad. There are a variety of vegan options to choose from. As most people have pointed out, prices are quite expensive.

Delicious pizza. Tastes just as good as it looks. It’s soft crust, creamy cheese and not thick or super thin.

Tons of options - Edit
Da Legna was my first "true" vegan pizza experience back in 2013, and it's always held a special place in my heart.
Read moreThe pizza is always delicious, and they have a pretty great variety of toppings to choose from. I typically just get a vegan cheese pizza with cherry peppers and eggplant, but all of their vegan creations are great.
The only con I have is that their pizza is always burnt. I know a lot of people love that, I just don't enjoy black crusts and bottoms on pizza.
Pros: Vegan options
Cons: Pricy

Great New Haven Pizza - Edit
Excellent and worth the trip. The inside atmosphere plays upbeat music and the booths are really Boujee; pink/purple soft velvet like booths and “crystal” lighting. Super high ceilings and a nice balance of classic pizza restaurant, brewery pub and restaurant comfort. Out door seating as well. Craft beers brewed on site and a completely open kitchen. Totally worth the drive and our new go to New Haven pizza.

Great Pizza - Edit
I was surprised by the multiple options available as most restaurants would only have one option. We tried Salsiccia (sausage) and Pollo (chicken). Pollo was the best of the two.

We had dinner there with friends. They have great cocktails (some have eggs, please read the descriptions) and their pizza was absolutely delicious. We ordered a white pizza with mushroom. We will be going back. Please note that due to COVID, their regular menu is now limited and they only serve pizza and appetizers.

Best Vegan Pizza in CT - Edit
UPDATE: This Restaurant has been relocated down the street to Da Legna at Nolo. And their newer (new to us) vegan pizzas are incredible! Best pizza in CT. I recommend everything but the buffalo. They have quite a few vegan options and great service. The vegan buffalo is pretty good but the buffalo sauce is actually sriracha. Their crust is thin and crispy.

Great pizza - Edit
Love their vegan pizza, with both vegan cheese and vegan "meat" options. Plus it's a cute restaurant (and it's nice to be able to go out to eat with non-vegans!). Their pizza is super pricey, and while the quality is definitely worth the price, that keeps us from coming back more regularly.

Vegan pizza but not much else - Edit
Vegan pizza is tasty but crust gets extra charred in order to melt the vegan cheese. No other vegan items on the menu without modifications. We shared a salad modified to not include cheese but it lacked some flavor. Server was very knowledgeable and service was fast and friendly.

Had to add this Bomb A$$ Place! - Edit
Not sure why I can't give it 5 stars? It should read 5!!! Incredible vegan pizza menu. It's a meat establishment but they are super conscious of food handling and completely respect vegans. Insane how satisfying this place is. The staff is knowledgeable, celebratory of dietary choice and I loved everything from start to end. I had to add this place on Happy Cow because it's JUST THAT AWESOME!
