WFPB, GMO-Free, Gluten-Free, Gorgeous Ambience - Edit
Vegan restaurant with a focus on being whole-food plant-based, GMO-free, and gluten-free. Artisanal dishes, mostly Western cuisine. Gorgeous ambience with opulent colonial-style decor and elegant bookshelves, reminding me of the library in Beauty and the Beast hehe. Pricey but delicious healthy food and beautiful space for special occasions! Located within Maxwell Reserve Hotel, walking distance from Maxwell MRT.

Excellent food in a beautiful setting - Edit
As others have noted, it is expensive. I don't mind that for food but was surprised to find that the described non alcoholic drink ($16 SGD) wasn't a handcrafted concoction, but simply a very expensive can of bubbly water -- which we had to open and pour. The food was quite good and I can imagine going back.

Vegan fine dining Singapore - Edit
Very cool place that has it all and the prices to prove it😄true vegan fine dining. I wish HappyCow would make a category for fine dining because this place would show up. Overall I would say Singapore is the anti-vegan so a place like this is precious don’t be in a hurry, Service is a little slow but the atmosphere is so cool as you can see from the pictures,, chill out and enjoy the vibe! Recommend the fried kale the pad Thai, the cheese tray and the caviar!

Fully vegan and gluten-free restaurants are rare… They set the bar really high with the quality of their dishes, not to mention the location is perfect (in the middle of Tanjong Pagar and within the gorgeous Maxwell Reserve Hotel). The menu matched the decor.
Read moreEverything tasted amazing… We had gluten-free pizza bread slices with the hummus, which was probably my favourite (even though it’s a classic).

Fine Dining Vegan - Edit
Incredible ambiance and service, though topped by the great food. Selection is amazing and every dish we had was top notch. It’s expensive but worth it! We had the risotto, the Satisfying Sandwich (insanely good bread), the Chaat, the dark chocolate tart, the blueberry muffin and the chocolate muffin (yes we were hungry). The sandwich was worth it, served warm. Wish US delis could serve sandwiches like this!

Great, but not worth the money - Edit
On the outside a golden sign makes it very clear: "Singapore's best 100% plant based restaurant and cafe". So I had to give it a try. The setting is more than classy, located in a ritzy hotel in a space that looks more like an English library than a restaurant. There's even a dress code and I must say I did barely pass in my touristy t shirt and shorts.
Read moreBased on other reviews I tried the baked kale and a serving on Japanese sweet potato. Whilst good, I didn't offer the wow factor that one might expect in a restaurant that pretends to be the best. The ingredients are clearly of top quality and the taste was excellent. Yet, it was missing something beyond the ordinary, except for the atmosphere. Because 73 dollar for two starters and a drink is quite a price!
Pros: great food, great variety, high class setting
Cons: too expensive

Me and hubby went on a date to Cultivate Cafe. Interiors are nice. Food were fresh and tasty. Too bad the vegan caviar was out of stock that time. They used the same greens for all of the 3 dishes that we ordered 😂

Cultivate Cafe (Singapore) - Edit
Exquisite, imaginitive food with plenty vegan choices. Sets a standard for this kind of catering. The food quality is backed up by the setting and personable staff. The target market sector is higher end so expect a hefty bill. Don't go anywhere near this place if your currently on a tight budget.

Fancy! - Edit
What a vibe this place had. I totally appreciate all the healthy interesting choices this menu was loaded with and I only wish I had time to try it all! I couldn’t resist trying the caviar and I was totally in the mood for a salad. Both were great, and I also loved the olive oil lemon cake dessert that I got!
Read moreI’m normally not one to comment on service, as I have worked in restaurants my entire working life and most people who comment on service clearly have not, but I will say that a few of the procedures could be revised bc I got the feeling that all the staff cover all the different restaurants in this hotel, which I imagine could get a little confusing.
Anyhow, everything I tried was delicious and I will definitely come back my next time in Singapore.

As a book lover the restaurant design is beautiful, with comfortable chairs surrounded by enormous bookcases full of very readable books. At first glance this feels like my happy place. To then couple this with excellent vegan food and good coffee - that’s next level.
Read moreThe only little issues was that the staff could be more welcoming. I stood beside a sign that said wait here to be seated looking at three helpers chatting away and also looking at me. I had to approach them to get given a table. Possibly a misunderstanding as this is part of a hotel.
Pros: Full vegan restaurant. , Huge range of options from health to indulgent. , Super comfortable.
Cons: Not cheap (but is good value for money). , Staff were pleasant, but could be more welcoming

Lovely atmosphere - Edit
Cultivate café is a plant-based restaurant that is quite elegant and pricey. I loved the decor of the place: lots of shelves filled with old books and comfortable, vintage looking chairs. I had a risotto, caviar, and olive oil cake. Everything tasted great though not astounding (I had even more flavourful and cheaper meals in Singapore). Still, for the experience, I would recommend this place. The food is pleasant and the atmosphere really lovely.

Overrated pretentious place with poor service - Edit
My partner and I were excited to try this place out while visiting Singapore and were so disappointed. Given the price point, we were expecting fantastic food and service and were disappointed on both counts! We chose to go for lunch as we assumed nights may be busier. There were 2 other tables besides us, yet service was poor. I had to get up and go to the server to speak to him. The place was empty yet he didn't allow us to change our table- when I asked, his answer was "no, THIS is your table". He seemed to be functioning like a machine saying "sure, wonderful, great choice" to anything we said. When I asked about what we were ordering, he did not even indicate that the flavours of 2 of our dishes would be identical as they had the same tomato sauce base. All the food was bland. The smoothie was icy and tasteless as well. I've eaten in fantastic fine dining vegan restaurants in London. This one seemed like it was trying too hard without adequate experience.
Read moreI've had yummier vegan food in regular cafes and restaurants in Singapore. They also added a hummus to our bill when we'd not ordered it and there was no apology when I pointed that out - all we got was "oh sure, wonderful, I'll change that". Would not recommend. There are tons of non-vegan places that do better vegan food in Singapore. Hope they can get their act together in terms of service and food.
Pros: Vegan options
Cons: Expensive, Bland food , Poor service
