Decent Meal

Good place if you happen to be in the area. The food was nothing extraordinary but delicious and I would come again. Unfortunately, they don't serve any free water.

For directions: If you stand in front of the food court turn right and walk towards where the ATMs are. Turn left there and you'll see the name above a staircase. Walk down there and then it's to the right.

Inexpensive and healthy Mexican salads

I am a huge fan of Mexican food but struggle to find authentic Mexican restaurants in Seoul that use the right kind of beans. Cuchara has good mexican beans (albeit canned :/) Cuchara is located right behind the Coex CJ Food Court and offers vegan burritos, tacos, nachos and other standard Mexican fast food. Irrespective of whether you are going for a vegan menu or a non-vegetarian menu, you have to make your own dish from scratch. First, you pick the type (burrito/burrito bowl/taco), then you choose the bean (they have two options, I usually ask for half and half), the sauce (high spice/low spice), and the next step is where you need to pay attention. They have a variety of sides, of which the only vegan option is the tofu. So you pick that, and ask them not to add sour cream and shredded cheese at the last step. They also add a few veggies to the dish. Cuchara is basically a Subway for mexican salads. The portions are generous and you can opt for the brown rice instead of lettuce or white rice for a healthy meal. You also have the option to add guacamole, but the texture is a little weird, so I usually skip it. The nachos are terrible, I do not recommend them. Bottom line, the meals are inexpensive and filling. If you are going to spend the entire day shopping at Coex but don't want to splurge on a meal at one of the more expensive restaurants, head to Cuchara for an inexpensive meal. Light on your pocket, heavy in your tummy. Will keep you going for 5 to 6 hours.

Pros: Inexpensive, Moderately tasty

Cons: guacamole, nachos
