The best vegan Chinese food!

I’m Chinese (with a dad who used to be a chef), so I’ve always been very critical of Chinese restaurants. However, I only have good things to say about this place. The food not only tastes authentic but fresh and homemade. It’s the first time I ever ordered something that might be even better than what my parents can make. 🤫

Pros: Clearly marked vegan options, Fresh, Eco-friendly packaging

I'm happy with it!

While the menu isn't as big as similar restaurants in the area, Cozy Wok is a great option for delivery or take out in a pinch. As ghost kitchens go, this is a pretty good one and I don't have many complaints. I kept it simple and got the orange chicken with broccoli and steamed jasmine rice for delivery, and it satisfied my craving perfectly. The broccoli portion could've been bigger, but overall I'm going to eat here again!

WFPB Chinese Food😋

Honestly so grateful to find a local (Fruitvale) Chinese spot that whips up Delicious, fresh and tasty vegan dishes. The Buddha's bowl made me re-fall in love w vegetables! Every single veg was perfectly steamed and seasoned. When I added the chili paste to the sauce, it took off like a rocket to yummytown! Best chili paste I've ever tasted and it was actual chili paste not oily!

The general Tsos mushrooms sauce was delightful! The shrooms stayed crispy thru transport. Sauce was sweet and savory not spicy.

I always order white and brown rice. The brown rice here was far superior!

Looking forward to ordering again!! Wanna try the kabocha squash, the eggplant, hot & sour soup & definitely get the Buddha Delight again!

Incredible

I had to come out of restaurant review hibernation to say that the mapo tofu with Beyond beef is easily the best thing I've eaten this year (at least).

I've never been a fan of silken tofu, but this singlehandedly changed my mind.

Great small business

We were excited to try this place because they incorporated beyond meat into Mapo tofu and green beans the same way Chinese food incorporates meat so it feels more authentic. It didn’t disappoint, very flavorful and tasty. Green beans were my favorite and mapo was really good but a little spicy. I’d recommend

Lots of vegan options, some dishes better than others

New ghost kitchen (only takeout/delivery) opened by a father/son duo. Everything on their menu can be made vegan, which is a big plus, and it's efficient to order.

I found some of the dishes very good while others were meh. There's a good amount of Beyond meat used, so if you don't like to eat a lot of that be sure to read the dish descriptions to choose the veggie-forward ones. Portion size was average. The food is packaged well, mostly compostables.

It's more expensive than some of our other vegan Chinese options in Oakland (like Nature and Golden Lotus), so I would use them only when I need that convenient delivery.

Pros: All can be made vegan, Convenient ordering + delivery, Family-owned

Cons: Expensive compared to other options

Authentic and range of vegan options

Lots of options, take out only due to covid. Great service and process. Order and get notified when ready by text. Brought to you in the adjacent parking lot. Sustainable take out containers. Very busy as in popular.

Pros: Vegan options , Ordering and pickup process , Mapo tofu
