Nice food and good vibes

Ate here before a trip to the cinema. It’s a nice restaurant, good selection of food on the menu but did feel it was more orientated towards lunch meals rather than evening, but that’s not to say there weren’t options. Quality of food was very good and the brownie with ice cream was really nice.

Not as good as I had hoped.

This restaurant was highly recommended. I ordered the shawarma kebab, which included jalapeños and red onion. There was no mention of cucumber. Had cucumber been mentioned, I would not have ordered it. My dinner arrived in a tortilla wrap. I found the cucumber with my 2nd bite and spent the rest of the meal fishing out the unwanted ingredient. Not impressed.

Pros: Sweet potato fries were lovely. , Good service.

Cons: Moderately expensive. , They kept on turning up the music. , Conversation became impossible.

Lovely experience

Delicious, well balanced food in a GORGEOUS setting of a converted chapel. Great atmosphere, fantastic menu options & friendly staff. Will be back to try the roast club on a Sunday for sure.

Judging from other reviews about pricing maybe customers could give more consideration to how much it costs to run an independent business in this economy? Pricing isn’t just based on ingredients costs! Personally I think it was good value for the experience as a whole.

Over priced

Both had the rainbow bowl, the London fog latte and a mocha.
At £14.50 the rainbow bowl is a bit of a joke , the veg that comes with it is from the stew they serve which is as stated stewed so does not go well in a salad bowl. You get about a teaspoon of hummus, ten leaves and literally 4 olives, I would of counted the pomegranate seeds too. It’s not that it lacked quality but the price is way to much. Drinks are also very average for the price- the London fog latte was just the taste of hot milk not vanilla or lavender as stated. I’m all for supporting vegan business but lower your prices or up your quantity.

Pros: The staff are nice , The atmosphere is great , It’s an all vegan restaurant

Cons: Over priced

Absolutely cosmic

Great tasting food, super friendly staff and appealing aesthetics. The courtyard-esque outdoor seating is the perfect spot on a warm summer’s evening. Had the shawarma wrap and mac and cheeze (which I think was a special). Worth a punt if you’re in Plymouth!

Pros: Taste, Friendly staff

Cons: A bit on the pricey side

Lovely food in a gorgeous historic building

First visit - really impressed with the delicious, fresh food and lots of choice. I had the moussaka with salad and a dill dip, which was very tasty. Lovely old building and relaxed atmosphere.

Lots of yummy food, lovely location and staff!

We came for a light lunch, tried the vegan scotch egg and the shawarma wrap, and they were both really good! The shawarma wrap is definitely the best vegan one I’ve had in the UK, and the scotch egg was unbelievably yummy too! It was really moist and super tasty, definitely the best vegan scotch egg we’ve had before too!
We wish we were hungrier (had a late breakfast) or in the area for longer as we’d have loved to try more!
The place is also so nice, both the indoor and outdoor parts, if you’re in the area definitely don’t miss it (and the staff was super nice too!)

Amazing!

Cosmic kitchen was amazing. The beautiful building itself, the amazing choice of food and drinks and the lovely staff.
We had toasties and a wrap followed by a really indulgent cake but I could have eaten anything on the menu. The buffet also looked incredible. So fresh and full of colour!

It was some of the best vegan food I’ve eaten out and about and I cannot wait to go back again and try their cosmic egg, moussaka and buffet!

Pros: The food, The venue, The staff

Gluten free options & Jelly Jazz event

We had the Gluten free lentil & mushroom bolognaise…so flavoursome! We had it with the garlic kale and garlic and parsley fries, which are also so good.

We also had a GF ice cream sundae and a jammy dodger brownie (not GF) afterwards and were well and truly stuffed!

The Jelly Jazz event after was also really fun! 🎶 GF non-alcohol IPA available too

Yes, the universal's here

A beautifully ornate former mortuary building now host to one of the U.K.’s top vegan hot spots. So much to choose from. I went for the shawarma wrap with paprika fries and we also picked one of the specials which was a deliciously spicy mushroom and lentil penne bolognaise. Throw in a couple of glasses of Grigio and a service charge and you’re looking at the best part of a bullseye. Definitely worth it though. “We’ll take a gamble Jim”

Pros: Rustic atmosphere , Great range of dishes , Friendly staff

Excellent service and stunning food

The quality of the food ordered (Reuben toastie, Jackfruit gyros and special of the day - kofta balls in tomato sauce) was amazing, worth every penny spend. The staff was very polite and helpful with their recommendations and the cocktails were delicious.
A must place to go if you're in the area.

Pros: Food quality, Staff well informed and welcoming to the guests

Tasty soup

I ordered a leek and potato soup for £6.50. It was delicious (not bland , or over-flavoured) and a good portion. No gluten free bread available.
The Cosmic Kitchen is inside a converted , wooden pillared church with unusual semi-circular stained glass windows and low lighting. On a Saturday lunchtime it was busy with loud music , despite the mixed age range if the clientele . Overall, a pleasant experience and I would eat here again.

Pros: Portion size, Flavour

Cons: Noisy music
