Once supported, never again. - Edit
Have supported this venue for a number of years and have spent countless evenings at family dinners, catching up with friends and have attended cosmic sessions.
Read moreI cannot support this venue anymore due to a number of ethical concerns with how the owners treat their staff. Staff have contracts withheld, are denied sick pay and are bullied in what seems to be a toxic environment with a revolving door of staff. One staff member was harassed while off due to burns stating hand washing was not necessary to perform the role of food service, which raises questions as to their hygeine practices. Avoid.
Rated two as a minimum due to HappyCows +1 star automatic addition due to the place being fully Vegan.
Pros: The Food, The Servers, The Chef
Cons: Treatment of Staff, Price

Nice food and good vibes - Edit
Ate here before a trip to the cinema. It’s a nice restaurant, good selection of food on the menu but did feel it was more orientated towards lunch meals rather than evening, but that’s not to say there weren’t options. Quality of food was very good and the brownie with ice cream was really nice.

Not as good as I had hoped. - Edit
This restaurant was highly recommended. I ordered the shawarma kebab, which included jalapeños and red onion. There was no mention of cucumber. Had cucumber been mentioned, I would not have ordered it. My dinner arrived in a tortilla wrap. I found the cucumber with my 2nd bite and spent the rest of the meal fishing out the unwanted ingredient. Not impressed.

Lovely experience - Edit
Delicious, well balanced food in a GORGEOUS setting of a converted chapel. Great atmosphere, fantastic menu options & friendly staff. Will be back to try the roast club on a Sunday for sure.
Read moreJudging from other reviews about pricing maybe customers could give more consideration to how much it costs to run an independent business in this economy? Pricing isn’t just based on ingredients costs! Personally I think it was good value for the experience as a whole.

Over priced - Edit
Both had the rainbow bowl, the London fog latte and a mocha.
Read moreAt £14.50 the rainbow bowl is a bit of a joke , the veg that comes with it is from the stew they serve which is as stated stewed so does not go well in a salad bowl. You get about a teaspoon of hummus, ten leaves and literally 4 olives, I would of counted the pomegranate seeds too. It’s not that it lacked quality but the price is way to much. Drinks are also very average for the price- the London fog latte was just the taste of hot milk not vanilla or lavender as stated. I’m all for supporting vegan business but lower your prices or up your quantity.
Pros: The staff are nice , The atmosphere is great , It’s an all vegan restaurant
Cons: Over priced

Absolutely cosmic - Edit
Great tasting food, super friendly staff and appealing aesthetics. The courtyard-esque outdoor seating is the perfect spot on a warm summer’s evening. Had the shawarma wrap and mac and cheeze (which I think was a special). Worth a punt if you’re in Plymouth!

Lots of yummy food, lovely location and staff! - Edit
We came for a light lunch, tried the vegan scotch egg and the shawarma wrap, and they were both really good! The shawarma wrap is definitely the best vegan one I’ve had in the UK, and the scotch egg was unbelievably yummy too! It was really moist and super tasty, definitely the best vegan scotch egg we’ve had before too!
Read moreWe wish we were hungrier (had a late breakfast) or in the area for longer as we’d have loved to try more!
The place is also so nice, both the indoor and outdoor parts, if you’re in the area definitely don’t miss it (and the staff was super nice too!)

We had the Gluten free lentil & mushroom bolognaise…so flavoursome! We had it with the garlic kale and garlic and parsley fries, which are also so good.

Yes, the universal's here - Edit
A beautifully ornate former mortuary building now host to one of the U.K.’s top vegan hot spots. So much to choose from. I went for the shawarma wrap with paprika fries and we also picked one of the specials which was a deliciously spicy mushroom and lentil penne bolognaise. Throw in a couple of glasses of Grigio and a service charge and you’re looking at the best part of a bullseye. Definitely worth it though. “We’ll take a gamble Jim”
