Just wow! - Edit
I had the chicken tempeh and gravy. Absolutely delicious! Had a hard time choosing, as everything was vegetarian and sounded great. If you’re in the area, you must try it!

The Chef Must Be Made of Magic - Edit
I am not sure exactly what happened. One minute, I was gazing at a gorgeous masterpiece of Chickn n' Waffles and Cheesy Jalapeno hush puppies.... the next minute I'm staring at my S.O and silently suspecting him of eating my food... he denies it to this day. My food just suddenly vanished. I do have a brief wonderful flashback of taking that first bite of heaven on a plate that was set down before me.... it still warms my dreams. Anywho, you definitely gotta try this place! Everything is amazing. Our waitress Shealea deserves a hella good raise, she gifted us with great service. Don't leave without trying the chocolate mint chip cupcake, or the coconut cream pie cause you'll regret it ♥️ Cornbread cafe, I'd give you One Hundred and Eleven stars if I could 🌟

So good! - Edit
This is my husband’s favorite restaurant. I love breakfast the best, sometimes it’s nice not to cook your own omelet. They have a ton of delicious vegan comfort food. Perfect place to bring non-vegans who want the junk they usually eat.

Regular stop for a vegan couple - Edit
Since my girlfriend went vegan this has been our go to restaurant for about three years now. I think I have tried everything on the menu at this point. The only one to avoid is the poll street pileup, everything else is delicious. I find it hilarious that in the best vegan restaurant in Eugene it is almost impossible to find a vegetable, everything is fake meat, deep fried and breaded.

Breakfast was good, lunch was better - Edit
My husband and I first went to the Eugene location for breakfast; he had the build-your-own omelette and I had the Eggfu Benedict. We both thought the eggfu had a “different” texture and was over all pretty good. The atmosphere was like a fun throwback diner and the waitstaff was really friendly and helpful.
Read moreWe went to the new Springfield location for lunch a week later, we were really impressed by the atmosphere and again the waitstaff was super friendly and helpful. My husband had the Neatloaf with mashed taters & mushroom gravy, Southern Style Kale and cornbread, I had the Moody Portabella which was jerk mushrooms on a bed of Southern Kale, mashed taters & gravy, Sassy Slaw and cornbread. Both had really good flavor and we thoroughly enjoyed them!
Pros: Friendly staff, Atmosphere, also had a bar, Great food
Cons: Kind of faux-meat centric

They have one of the best vegan omelette I have had. If you’ve been missing traditional pancakes, this is your spot. They reminded me of childhood!

Yum! I had the chick’n and waffles. The “chicken” was very good but my favorite was the gravy! It was like Thanksgiving in a bowl. I also had the cinnamon roll cake to go and it was pretty good.

This food was some of the best vegan i have ever had as a vegan and my boyfriend who is sadly a meat eater LOVED everything as well. Chicken & gravy was the best vegan crispy chicken I’ve ever had. Mac n’ Cheese was great. Hush puppies were out of this world. Corn bread was perfectly sweet. Nachos were delicious. Buffalo Fried Tofu was my least favorite item we got but was still good!! I’m not local but if I was this would be my go to place!! #eatingwithshelbie

Fantastic comfort food - Edit
I had the Eugenewich and my husband had the Southern Fried tofu. We ended up splitting a slice of the cinnamon roll cake. It was all amazing. Highly recommend getting dessert even if you have to get it to go from being so full from all the delicious food. I did wish Todd’s greens were more than just spinach (was expecting collard greens) but if that’s all I have to complain about there’s no reason they don’t deserve 5 stars!

This all vegan restaurant is a must for us every time we are in Eugene. We have even made special trips up just to eat here. The menu is full of creative dishes, and the specials are always the same. The desert section is the same; always offering different items.

Awesome, delicious food! - Edit
Amazing burgers and Mac! Some items on the menu are served in small portions which is a bummer because they're spendy. They don't put ice in the water which I don't understand so it's like warm water usually. The cafe itself is super cute, kind of a "retro" look. My husband and I love going there! Also their milkshakes are yummy too!😄

It's OK - Edit
I have tried to love this place, but not having the same experience as other rave reviews. Proud for what they stand for and glad to see them grow and expand over the years. From their original food cart to sit down restaurant, just was never impressed over the several times we have gone. Found the food to be on the bland side and in one case, poorly prepared, served cold and lacking flavor. The one decent item I had was the corned 'beef' sandwich.

Comfort Food - Edit
I brought my non vegan, open minded family and vegan partner to Cornbread Café. My younger sister had the Buffalo Hot Things, she found them too vinegary. My father had the Moody Portabella that elevated his mood😉My partner tried the southern fried tofu wishing he had the BBQ steak. My 7 year old nephew ordered the tofu nuggets with a side of mac uncheese which he became a huge fan of. I ordered the sampler platter and enjoyed the BBQ seitan steak the most along with the sassy slaw. Overall we all had a mostly enjoyable meal and wished we were napping instead of driving for a few more hours. I don't recommend to have an entire meal if you have plans afterwards since it is comfort food after all!

Yummy Vegan Comfort Food - Edit
This is definitely not the place to go for healthy, vegan fare, but if you are looking for vegan comfort food, this is your place. It was a real treat to get a burger with a bun instead of having to order the burger on a bed of greens like I usually do. This cafe actually has gluten-free buns! My partner and I both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and our desserts. I have a feeling that everything on the menu is very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place to vegans looking for comfort food and as a great place to take the omnivores in your life looking for traditional diner foods.
