Hardest part: deciding what to order! - Edit
There were too many delicious dishes to choose from. I wish I could eat here every day, but sadly I was just passing through.

It has such a warm and cozy atmosphere with really sweet, friendly workers.

Visited this restaurant for the first time over the weekend. Wow is this place amazing! We went for breakfast, so I got the biscuit and gravy. My friends got the pumpkin roll pancakes, lentil sausages, and a chicken sandwich. Everyone was very happy with their meals (including the non-vegans!). I will definitely be coming here again when I’m in town.

Shockingly disappointing - Edit
I really wanted to love Cleveland Vegan, but instead, I was rather disappointed. Very slow, indifferent service, mediocre food and steep prices. Maybe it was a fluke, based on the reviews? I just felt sad that I drove all the way across town for a sub-par experience.
Read moreI ordered takeout and showed up on time. A lady at the desk said my food wasn’t ready yet and walked away. It would have been helpful if she told me it would be another 20-25 minutes. Yup. I waited for more than 20 minutes before a different woman finally came out with my food and apologized. The first woman never apologized or communicated how long the wait would be. Considering it was a Wednesday night, the place wasn’t busy and they had at least four people in the kitchen, I’m not sure what took so long.
I started with the tofu wings. These were cold (probably because they were sitting out, waiting for my other dish) and very uninspired. Seriously. Cold, limp tofu with buffalo sauce. They weren’t crispy and I wonder if they were cooked at all? They were edible, once I doused them in ranch.
My entree was the fried chicken sandwich, which was listed as a popular item. It barely had any chipotle mayo and was very dry. I poured some of the leftover ranch on it. The slaw was crunchy, flavorless cabbage and onions, not exactly what I was expecting. There were a few limp pickle slices on the side, but not like the picture on the menu.
I paid $27 for a lifeless, unfulfilling dinner. To top it off, the receipt asked if I wanted to leave an additional (second) tip. Considering I already tipped, before I knew how my experience would be, there was no way I was going to tip again…
I’d like to maybe try coming here again, they seemed to have a lot of good looking desserts, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop by a second time.
Honestly, I feel bad for them. 3-stars is probably being generous, but hey, at least everything was vegan.

The food is delicious and the service is great. We actually went there twice while on our trip and the food was always amazing. We tried the Gyro Wrap, Bacon and Egg Sandwich, Chicken Sandwich, Kimchi Fries, Corn Salad, Bacon Ranch Salad, Biscuits and Gravy, Oats Bliss Bar, Banana Bread, and Garlic and Scallion scone. My favorites were the Kimchi fries, Chicken Sandwich, and the Oat Bliss Bar.

Great food—I had the CV Slammer, Gyro, chocolate chip toffee cookie, and some sort of giant candy bar and they were all fantastic, even as leftovers the next day. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommended!

Oi oi oi! This place is amazing! Went there for a late breakfast and was blown away by the menu! We had the tofu buffalo wings as an appetizer and were massively impressed with the texture, sauce and vegan ranch.
Read moreWe ordered the tofu lox Benedict and the chorizo breakfast burrito. Both were absolutely delicious. Ordered a bahn mi to go. The server suggested they separate everything so we can assemble it when we wanted to eat it which was brilliant. Also got a buffalo pasta salad and some sweets (Chocolat strawberry muffin, a mango cardamom muffin and a buckeye bar) all of which were good.
Definitely will be eating here again when in town. Possibly tomorrow morning before we split as well.
Pros: Amazing food, It's all Vegan!, Wouldn't hesitate to take anyone to this place

This is a wonderful, completely vegan restaurant with a wide range of salads, sandwiches and more including meat/egg/milk alternatives and a separate section with a bakery! I had a grilled cheese and a Caesar salad which were divine! I also had a chocolate chip cookie for dessert and got a buckeye bar for tomorrow haha!

Love coming here every now and then.. everything tastes great, however, beware the buffalo in anything! Spicy hot! I loved the Thai bowl, and the turkey roll, scrambled tofu, well, I could just go on!

My friends and I went on a saturday night and were greeted by really friendly staff. We were overwhelmed by all the choices and the servers were really kind to go through all of them with us. The kimchi fries were really good (the cilantro addition made it 100 for us), the tofu wings were really crispy, and the quesadilla was AMAZING!!! The only dish were werent fans of was the CV slammer. the gravy was a bit much and so was the seasoning, but i can’t wait to come back and try the pastries!!!

I ordered the strawberry lemon basil pancakes and they were out of this world! My husband who is not vegan loved his Thai rice noodle bowl and tempeh bacon. I did not like the sausage patties at all. They were really weird and a gross smell and taste. My cookies from the bakery were phenomenal. The raw cheesecake was actually pretty good. The cosmic brownie was decent. The best thing was the Buffalo Cauliflower dip.

Cleveland Vegan is one of those places you can always depend on for quality. This is why we went with them for our wedding cake and desserts. They did such a terrific job! They were professional and easy to work with every step of the way. The craziest thing I will never forget, is that we purposely ordered MORE pieces of dessert for everyone than we needed. We overshot the total amount by a long shot. When we were packing up at the end of the night we had ONE donut and FOUR cupcakes left. NO CAKE was left. I'm not kidding when I say our guests destroyed it. We heard stories the next day of people plotting for how to get that specific flavor they wanted at the wedding. People were talking about them and how good it was. We had one piece of our cake (from our cake cutting) and that was it. You think we'd be upset but we are just so impressed and happy everyone loved it so much. Our goal was to have food that people left with a better appreciation for Veganism. Cleveland Vegan helped us achieve that. I would highly recommend them for your next event.

My husband and I were in the area visiting family and discovered this gem. We managed to eat there for 1 breakfast, 1 lunch, and 1 dinner over the course of a long weekend. Every dish we had was excellent. I really loved the breakfast sandwich. Also very good coffee and their chai is amazing. Online ordering for takeout was easy and efficient. We are joking about how soon we should go back to visit the family so we can eat there (and we live in LA!). Highly recommend if you are anywhere in the Cleveland area.

With yummy food, Cleveland Vegan Cafe offers a wide variety served by friendly and helpful servers. Their "Gyro" is better than ones I had eaten on an animal based diet. The chocolate peanut butter cupcakes are the perfect ending to a hearty, affordable meal!
