The staff were really friendly and attentive without being overly attentive.
Lots of gf options.
Had a chocolate milkshake, the bacon chicken ranch salad and I got the poached egg plate.
Everything was very good. The salad was EXCELLENT with the best shitakke bacon I've had.
Milkshake was nice and chocolatey, not overly sweet, wasn't icy or too thick or thin. It also didn't taste like a cheap ingredient milkshake.
The Benedict plate was lovely. Gf toast, delish tempeh and the poached eggs were good too. The hollandaise sauce wasn't amazing nor were the home fries but everything else was really good and onpoint.
They also have a lovely shelf with dry goods, lots of unique foods and brands I haven't necessarily seen elsewhere.
Cooler had good selection vegan cheeses, and grab and go (including gf) and then two bakery cases also with several gf options.

Folks are always nice and accommodating here- and the food is really good, too! I have been enjoying this restaurant ever since it opened, way back when. My favorite is the Thai rice noodle bowl, love their peanut sauce!
Read moreThe only reason for a 4 star instead of 5, is because so many of their dishes are very spicy hot, I have learned to avoid those. Also, over the years, they have gotten very mock meats conscious. I truly enjoy dishes not so heavily based!

I can tell why this place is a big deal since it's got vegan poached eggs, tempeh bacon, thicc potato cuts, tofu wings, and many many more. Staff is friendly and attentive. I love having all day brunch options 🤩

I saw that this restaurant positive review reviews, and thought we would give it a try. Saturday night there were only a couple of tables filled. We got served right away. He had the Big V, a double patty club burger. He ordered it with fries which are extra. Omnivore husband enjoyed the burger. He said he would’ve been full with just a single patty and two pieces of bun. I got the loaded nachos which I also enjoyed. It was a big flavorful bowl and filling.

Consistent, great local vegan staple - Edit
This was probably the first all vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to in Ohio and it holds a special place in my heart. They have regular menu items and also a significant seasonally rotating menu that keeps things fresh and interesting. Recent meals I’ve had here multiple times, and have all been delicious, include the Big V burger, the Classic Gyro, and the Spicy Chicken sandwich. All vegan, obviously. They also have really tempting bakery items like cupcakes, cake, scones, and a delectable raw vegan snickers bar.

Super inventive recipes--the eggs benedict plate was something I've never seen done with vegan food before. The pesto tempeh was also flawless. Tons of dessert goods; the buckeye bar was outstanding! They also sell those awesome vegan imitation candy bars here, which is always a plus. If you're in town for a day and can only pick one place to eat, make it Cleveland Vegan--seriously some of the best vegan dining I've ever experienced!!

We stopped here on a road trip on I-90 and it was such a breath of fresh air. Great drink options, great bakery options, and a nice menu. We enjoyed the Big Breakfast Sandwich, the Gyro, and the Thai Noodle Bowl. The matcha is clearly actual matcha and not a syrup. Highly recommend!

100% vegan deliciousness - Edit
I was finally able to try Cleveland Vegan at the 2024 Cleveland Vegfest. They had unfortunately run out of pepperoni rolls which sounded amazing, but I had a very tasty Philly cheesesteak and a sweet Pride sugar cookie. I love that they are organic and use locally sourced ingredients. I hope to visit the brick and mortar establishment soon!

Fantastic Cafe with excellent food! - Edit
This café was phenomenal! My husband and I were not super hungry when we found this place so we ordered a starter (the nacho platter) and two Buckeye chocolate and peanut butter milkshakes (those flavors were not on the menu, but specials for that day). All I can say is, WOW!! The nachos came with a vegan ground beef that was so tasty, house made cashew cheese sauce that was so creamy, and a really delicious cilantro dressing. I was blown away by how delicious these nachos were and I am not really one to order nachos. The portions are huge! The milkshake was amazing! They said it was soy based— it had huge chunks of vegan Reese‘s peanut butter cups in it. It totally took me back to pre-vegan days when I would order a Reesie’s peanut butter cup blizzard from DQ. This place gets 10 stars from me. Everything tasted so real; I don’t think a non-vegan would be able to tell the difference!

Got the nachos and a cupcake both of which were delicious. When I got there it was a tease to see that they have lots in their grab and go section all of which looked delicious also. It will probably be the first place I go if I make it back to Cleveland.

I was super excited to stop into this place with my friend on our road trip but left feeling still hungry and disappointed. They care more about aesthetics than food quality. My quesadilla had a sauce drizzled all over it. The food was not very yummy and highly priced for what you got.

I love everything about this place, but their bakery is out of this world. We got our wedding cake from Cleveland Vegan (hot fudge sundae naked cake with fresh black cherries!) and it was hands-down, the best dessert I’ve ever had in my life. Even non-vegans at our wedding who didn’t know it was vegan said it was the best cake they’d ever had. Love everything about CV 🩷

Cleveland Vegan has become a birthday trip to Cleveland tradition. I love everything about it. They have great breakfast dishes as well as lunch and dinner. They have a diverse menu, including seasonal menu items that rotate as well. They also have a bakery and awesome grab and go section. I highly recommend the tofu wings, and you can't go wrong with their brunch items. They have fantastic pancakes! Prices are reasonable, and portion sizes are pretty large. The dining area is nice, brightly lit, but still cozy. They are usually crowded, so you might need to wait for a table.
