Christopher & Jake's Bistro on Hwy. 53, a very short distance west of I-75 at exit 312, about midway between Atlanta and Chattanooga. They have a full list of vegetarian options, though none labelled vegan. The server said the vegetarian grilled chicken salad is vegan. And they happily substituted cucumbers for cheese on dishes when we asked. The two soups of the day both contained meat when we were there. Limited but delicious vegan options

Our server was very knowledgeable about the vegan options. Two of the vegetarian meats are also vegan. The Vegetarian Grilled Chicken and a burger similar to a beyond burger. The burger is from the food service company Cisco. I had the pita with the vegetarian grilled chicken lettuce , tomato, onion and avocado.
My son had the burger. Both were really delicious. They have a large vegetarian section with multiple meat substitutes.

Pros: Delicious sandwiches and salads, Friendly knowledgeable staff

Cons: Limited vegan options

need to customize to make it vegan

They have the ingredients to make it vegan, you just have to create your own sandwiches. I usually get an avocado/tomato/lettuce sandwich untoasted.

The staff is great. Just explain what you want.

Good Variety of Vegetarian Sandwiches & Salads

The vegetarian section of their menu has a number of sandwiches. Some contain vegetarian bacon, vegetarian sandwich meats, etc. They have three vegetarian burger options, too. We three all opted for salads--which turned out to be huge. They were topped with a black bean burger, vegetarian chicken salad & avocado, and a garden burger, respectively. Unfortunately, there were no vegetarian soups available today. None of the desserts appeared to be vegan, either--though we didn't ask because we were full.

The "country diner" atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. Service was good, and reasonably prompt even though we were there during lunch hour. The server was happy to answer our questions and make substitutions as needed to accommodate our dietary preferences.

Pros: Many vegetarian options., Generous portions., Good food & pleasant atmosphere.

Cons: Few vegan options., Vegan options not designated on menu., No vegetarian soups today.

Garden Burger Salad: As with all C&J's salads, this was served in a large bowl--a very generous portion. It had a nice selection of vegetables with the lettuce. When requested, they left off the cheese and added extra cucumber. The garden burger sliced over the top was a large one, and appeared homemade.
