Tasty but limited - Edit
In all fairness, this was my third choice for lunch today. My first options were closed due to illness and a holiday, understandable given the scorching weather.
Read moreChorrito offers one dedicated vegan option and another that can be made vegan. While I don’t think this warrants being listed as a vegan-friendly spot, that’s just my opinion. The menu seems to rotate.
The vegan option I tried was a black bean taco, which had a fresh, earthy taste and all the trimmings. Surprisingly, the oyster mushroom taco (without cheese) was a winner. The mushrooms were well-cooked and marinated, giving them a satisfyingly meaty, chewy texture.
Their branded hot sauces, all vegan, were excellent. The staff was also very friendly.
Overall, I wouldn’t rush back, but I’d happily visit again if I were in Leith.

Clearly labelled options, good food, great vibes - Edit
The week I went to Chorrito they had two vegan options, which were Spiced portobello mushroom & Jackfruit guisado. They were both delicious and thoughtful options. The staff were all super lovely, the overall vibe was wonderful and I loved their sauces. Would absolutely love to return!
