Authentic Indian food - Edit
We had the thali and a few appetizers. The food overall is great and prices are affordable. The place is clean and staff are friendly. We would go again!

Very good place with many choices. The Punjabi Thali is really plentiful and you can request to make it 100% vegan.

Tasty and authentic - Edit
Chhappan Bhog serves authentic, very tasty vegetarian food. Some options are vegan - like dosas or idlis. They are also selling a lot of sweets and pastry, but I am not sure if there is anything vegan here.
Read moreThe place is fairly small and the atmosphere is a bit like in a crowded snackbar or canteen. The staff is always busy, serving the food very fast, then cleaning tables etc. They are neither friendly nor unfriendly.
There seem to be many regular, mostly Indian, customers.
Chhappan Bhog is definitely not a place for a romantic dinner or a place to hang out for in for a long time, but wonderful for a quick tasty dinner.

An Indian Abu Dhabi Institution! - Edit
This is a great vegetarian restaurant with 3 branches in the city. This one (behind the ADNOC building) is an institution, it's been there since 1996! The food is really good and it was the best gobi paratha I've ever tasted! The decor was quite basic, but nice and there was seating outside. This is one of the biggest selection of Indian sweets, however there were only a couple that were vegan, which were date based.
