Fancy Thai

This restaurant is definitely the full package, lovely food, stylish decor, loads of staff happy to help you. There is a ‘from the garden’ section of the menu, which is fully vegan and offers fake meat and veg based alternatives to the standard menu.
On the last visit I opted summer rolls and papaya salad. Both tasty, salad had the right level of kick to it. Will be back…

Amazing food, ambience and service

We have visited several times and always had a great experience. Staff are friendly and welcoming, the decor is really nice and the food always fresh and delicious. Portions are generous too. They also make really good cocktails.
Last night I had the summer rolls, much bigger than I expected and the Thai red curry with tofu.
I highly recommend this place.

Pros: Good selection of vegan dishes, Excellent service , Generous portion sizes.

Amazing This food

A must try in Leeds for VG / V and GF
We hade the vegan prawn crackers and veggie wraps. The wraps are rice flour wraps with Thai veg and are served with a peanut sweet chilli sauce.
For main we had red curry with butternut squash and spinach and tufo with cashew nut with veg and sweet sauce. 5 spice fries. All were amazing.

After head to Farrands next door and see Amy, Fran and Mel who mic the best cocktails.

Pros: A full vegan menu , Amazing drinks , Delicious food

Cons: VE means options available

Service

My friends and I went to have dinner at Chaophraya today, 6:15 was our reservation time, however upon arrival we were escorted to our table. We sat down and asked us if we wanted some water, which was nice and we said yes. It literally took over 15 minutes for the water to arrive at our table. We had to ask for our water. Now it’s nearly 30 minutes sat down with no one asking us if we want to order drinks or food, of which we then asked the waiter to order drinks. I mean upon ordering our food I expressed a number of times to the waiter I believe he is called Marco that I have a serious peanut allergy. I asked if I could have my food without any peanuts he said that’s fine…. Well after waiting so long for our starters it eventually comes to our table and the waiter places our plates in front so us. My first thought was how come he is not reassuring me that my plate has no peanuts. I had to ask the guy if mine has no peanuts he didn’t say anything but just take my plate and walk away of which in that moment I knew my starter has peanuts. If I had not asked if my plate had peanuts and I just ate the food I would have been in a serious state right now and my peanut allergy is extremely serious. I was annoyed at the fact that he didn’t apologise or explain to me the mistake that happened, I felt like I wasn’t acknowledged at all.
I asked to speak to the manager of which he said he won’t bill me for my meal, I still felt upset with the way things went about. The whole service was a let down, from the drinks and food coming late to the whole peanuts issue, I was extremely disappointed by the service and I’m still shaken by the whole thing cause if I ate my starter I would have been in a serious situation between life and death. 😩

Pros: Clean restaurant , Great cocktails

Cons: Slow , Risky to allergies, No apology

Wonderful food

'From The Garden' listed on the main menu, I felt spoiled for choice.
My summer rolls were fresh and crunchy (I will ask for extra dipping sauce next time) and there were plenty enough for 2 of us.
The Thai red curry with pumpkin and spinach was delicious.
Can't wait to return

Thai your mother down

I’ve always had good experiences here. It’s top end Thai dining in a sumptuously authentic setting, perfectly located especially if you’re staying at the Travelodge. Although admittedly my Travelodge day’s are well and truly over now. The two course lunch deals are very good value (everyday 12-5) and there are plenty of vegan options. We usually get spring rolls and vegetable tempura and couple of red or green curries. The curries are packed with good quality vegetables and plenty of chunks of succulent tofu. No scrimping on quality here. Certainly a good place to take the mother in law for an very satisfying lunch or evening meal.

Pros: Nice interior , Authentic food , Vegan options

Elegant

Definitely not the best Thai food I've had (wasn't a huge fan of their preparation of tofu), but they had an extensive vegan menu and both the bar area and dining areas were very fancy.

Nice but overpriced

Nice food but very overpriced! Could get the same/better meal at Sukothai and pay far less!
