Busy, very slow and confused.

We called in Sunday morning, only as Green Olive up the road kitchen was closed. Decided to try their vegan breakfast. It was 3/4 full, service was very slow. We ordered drinks and the vegan breakfast. Order was repeated by server. Over half an hour later 2 vegetarian breakfasts arrived. We pointed out their mistake and they took them away. Drinks arrived. We drank them. Another half hour later 2 hot vegan breakfasts arrived followed by toast which I think was gluten free.
(On the plus side they cooked 2 new breakfasts as menu lists vegetarian and vegan sausages) Overall based on my visit I would not go back. I suspect they got some green olive customers that day which made it a bit busier but it was not very organised. I was not filled with confidence about the vegan breakfast and how it was cooked. They did reduce the cost of our bill by £3 as good will gesture for getting the order wrong.

Pros: Offering a few vegan options , Reduced bill slightly to cover their errors , Not unfriendly service

Cons: Did not seem fully aware of what vegans eat?

Firstly I would like to thank you for your feedback.
We had a new member of staff on board when you visited on this Sunday morning and he had mistakenly written 2 vegetarian breakfast on the order pad instead of vegan.
I apologise for the mix up and I can assure you the kitchen staff are fully aware of the difference between vegan & vegetarian. We prepare the vegan breakfasts in separate pans and areas and is all freshly cooked to order which is why you would have had to wait longer for your breakfasts to arrive.

I will also mention that we are busy every weekend especially at breakfast whether OTHER businesses are open or closed.

Fresh Food, Would Like More Choices

Cegin Bach Ni has two vegan breakfast options with their cooked breakfast option including some scrambled tofu which is a rare treat at an omnivore restaurant. They have vegan small plates available on their lunch menu such as Garlic Mushrooms and Gunpowder Potatoes as well as vegan sides such as Homemade Chips and Skinny Fries. There was only one vegan main available, which was the Falafel Bowl, and they also have a vegetarian Vege Burger on their menu. They usually have a vegan special on their specials board.

The food was really tasty, and the service was good. I suggest reading the menu and checking their social media for specials before visiting to ensure there is something vegan that you like available before visiting. Online booking is available on their website, and the cafe also offers free WiFi.

Pros: Home Cooked Food, Welsh Language Service Available , Vegan Options Clearly Labelled

Cons: Not Enough Vegan Options, No Vegan Sweets
