Best vegan burger in Amman!

There's a lovely seating area that looks great for working while enjoying a drink or snack. I ordered the vegan burger and avocado dip with a smoothie. The sauces on the burger were the right amount of spicy and smokey. The flavor and texture of the patty were amazing. The smoothie was also really tasty and fresh. I haven't had a vegan burger since being in Amman for 2 months and this really satisfied my craving. My non-vegan friends ordered the Thai curry, guacamole, and pad kee mao which they thought was yummy. If you have any allergies just make sure to ask before ordering! For example, on the menu the pad kee mao did not indicate that it has peanut butter in the sauce or peanuts as garnish.

Pros: The decor and ambiance , Large portions, Good prices

Cons: Some ingredients not listed on menu

Not 100% vegan

The space ia very nice and private. Staff is friendly. Food was ok (we had the breakfast). My issue is that they serve vegetarian items while indicating they are 100% vegan (e.g. sweets, cookies, chocolates, and possibly also in some savory dishes). Suggest to double check with staff before ordering.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. The restaurant on site is 100% vegan, meanwhile, the cafe has non-vegan snacks and drinks. We are a hostel and our goal is to make vegan dishes and drinks available for budget travelers. Unfortunately, we haven't found affordable options to replace all of the non-vegan items yet but it's in our minds and is our ultimate goal😄thank you for bringing this up!

Generous breakfast

We had a nice stay in the carob hostel and also ate breakfast here, which was a generous plate of hummus, baba ganoush, pickles, flatbread and salad.

Best place to stay in Amman

We had a double room which was spacious and had very comfortable (rather hard) beds. The staff is very nice (even speaks German😄and the food was delicious.
The hostel is located on a hill in a rather quite and safe area. You can walk downtown and also the citadel is close. We will come back at the end of our trip and are already looking forward to the healthy delicious breakfast.

Pros: Location, Vegan food , Staff

BEST HOSTEL EVER

I can not say enough good things about Carob hostel, if you are reading this, do not deny yourself the experience of staying and book straight away. Facilities and rooms are fantastic, on-site vegan cafe is delicious and the staff team are all friendly, interesting and brilliant people.

We took the three day trip including wadi rum and Petra and it was incredible. Thank you Firas and all your team.

Great vegan place in Amman

We only came for breakfast but that was very good.
They have a fixed breakfast for 4 JOD and various coffe options.
They also have a big vegan lunch and dinner menu with burger or curry.
The prices are a bit higher than in the downtown but it’s worth it especially if you are craving something vegan besides falafel and hummus.
The exterior ist very beautiful and peaceful.
It is a little hard to find because from the outside you can’t se a lot but you just have to ring the bell to get in.

Pros: Vegan , Quit some options

Cons: A little more expensive
