The food here is really high quality, is made with fresh ingredients, and tastes amazing. I would especially recommend the Thai curry, the burger, and the breakfasts. The chef is incredibly talented and puts a lot of care into the preparation and presentation of her food.

Delicious vegan Thai curry in cosy setting - Edit
Loved the Thai curry with rice. Also had a bite of the vegan burger that is served with nachos and guacamole (this one had spicy level 6 out of 5 so I didn't try that one!).

The terrace is so cosy, green "roof" and many plants around.
They also serve different types of coffee! Good start of the day!
Stay a night, enjoy dinner and a good coffee in the morning! You will love it!

Siamo andati da Carob Restaurant per la colazione, che cambia ogni giorno, ma è fissa. È comunque sempre una colazione con pietanze tipiche giordane, rivisitate in chiave vegan (nel nostro caso, era tutto salato, a parte tanta varietà di frutta). Nella colazione è incluso il tè.
Read moreLe porzioni sono abbastanza abbondanti: ne abbiamo ordinata una, ma l’abbiamo divisa in due! Hanno anche latte vegetale per il cappuccino.
Lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile e il posto davvero carino.

Craving some home comfort food in Amman, Carob Restaurant was a perfect place to chill and eat. Great food, drinks and service. Recommend the Pad Kee Mao, burger was excellent too.

A little vegan haven. I had the pumpkin soup and the Soybean curd with mashed potatoes. They tasted great, were filling, quick service and very nice and welcoming staff. If anything i just wish the soup was not as much watered down, as it was a big quantity to start with, making it a little thicker would have been perfect.

Best healthy fresh breakfast ever - Edit
We choose to stay at the Carob hostel as we won‘t have to search for a place with vegan breakfast. This was an excellent decision! The breakfast is very good value for money, freshly prepared with typical Jordan mezze and fresh fruit. It always contained falafel, fruit, bread and tea (too sweet), but the rest was changing during our stay. If you have any special request, just let the friendly staff know (we requested the hummus as we loved it!).

Relaxing place for fresh vegan food - Edit
Small and quiet cafe not far from the Citadel offering breakfasts and dinners all cooked with fresh produce. This cafe served the best food I ate in Amman, the breakfasts are super good value at 4JD and have a mix of fresh fruit and traditional stews. We also had the dinners here too, a mix of both Jordanian and international things on the menu, we had the Thai curry and it was beautiful. Amazing value, gorgeous indoor and outdoor terrace.

Friendly, Relaxed and Delicious! - Edit
Slightly out of the hectic centre, but only by a few minutes, so not much of a detour from the old town centre and a much more relaxed vibe! A really beautiful and well maintained space with friendly staff who are incredibly helpful. A nice selection of food as you can be in danger of eating hummus with every meal, so it was great to have a menu with several different choices and great flavours!

Lovely food and lovely people. Carob Community was such a pleasant and refreshing surprise! I especially loved the oat milk cappuccino. The soybean curd with mashed potato was comforting and delicious. Yulia is wonderful as were all the travellers we met there!

Great food in a great atmosphere - Edit
We had a late night dinner in Carob. Owners are super nice and helped us to choose from the menu. The dishes they recommended were very tasteful - we even got a free chocolate ball in the end. They serve beer which is nice. We came for breakfast next morning and again it didn't disappoint - it was big, varied and very tasty. Restaurant itself is located in the very nice and quiet backyard so you can spent a pleasant evening there.

Great place, but don't come for the food - Edit
The restaurant is a part of a beautiful hostel. It's a great place to sit and chill, with amazing atmosphere, friendly staff and cool activities. But if you're looking for a place to eat, that would not be my choice. The food is lacking some taste and the dishes are quite small. They do offer some international dishes - Indian, Asian etc - but every dish we tasted was very far from the flavour we expected. They might do better if they had some local food which is already vegan, tasty and nutritious (hummus, thina, majadra etc).
