Nice restaurant in Angra - Edit
There is a seperate vegetarian part of the menu, where all main dishes are vegan, most of them bean-based. The food was tasty and quite affordable. We wanted to book a table for the next day, but they were unfortunately closed due to Carnaval, otherwise we would have gone back. The staff was attentive and helpful.

Biggest disappoinment on the Acorese - Edit
I’m not one to usually do this, but this restaurant was a complete disappointment. We were seated to wait at the bar for 15 minutes, which we happily did since they were busy. We came on a Monday night, the two of us, and waited for an hour for two tiny pieces of avocado toast for 8 euros with an “innovative”, aka raw shredded halloumi. Another 20 minutes went by, now almost 1,5 hours since we got seated at the table, and we ordered a minute after sitting down. The worst disappointment was the food, which I’ll attach photos. We paid 14 euros for 6 pieces of falafel, with three hallow pieces of potatoes.
Read moreFurthermore, nobody cared much about hospitality—nothing about the waiting time and only asking about if we wanted another drink after an hour. The only time we really had some interaction was when the chef came to the table to defend the critique on her halloumi toast.
If you wish to eat somewhere nice and get your money worth, I’d absolutely avoid this place at all cost.
Cons: Bad value for money, Extreme waiting times, Lack of hospitality

Best vegan choice in Angra - Edit
This place is amazing! The staff is very kind, it has a beautiful ocean view and the inside is stylish and comfortable. It has vegan options and the quality is amazing. I had: 1) hummus served with raw vegetables and bread, very spicy and garlicky, I loved it, 2) the "full falafel experience" with home made falafels (you can feel the love!) served with garlic sauce, roasted vegetables and an amazing salad with bell peppers 3) I shared a tofu steak: well marinated, served with tomato sauce and again roasted and raw vegetables

Cool and jazzy atmosphere - Edit
Amazing ocean view. Waiter was very nice and helpful. Had the hummus for entrée, a delicious red berries sangria and the falafel balls with vegetables and salad. Falafel was a bit chewy but still good and the rest of the veggies were top notch. A bit more pricey than what I hoped for but not complaining.

Superservice, and good vegan options! - Edit
We are here twice during our short stay on Terceira. The guy welcoming us was very friendly, relaxed and made us feel like home. The menu has plenty of options both for starters and mains. When we first ordered the Impossible köfte and the soy-stew (can’t remember the name) they came out very similar since both had a side of potatoes, roast carrot and a small salad. They were good, but too similar and we missed sauce. Second time we ordered the spinach pasta, a plain salad to get our green fix and starters to fill up - hummus, lentil balls and bruschetta. Satisfied and would recommend. Could use sauce though! :)

The best in Angra - Edit
We‘ve been there in oct. We tested most of the restaurants said to be vegetarian but in the end only went to the Captain‘s table for several reasons:
Read moreThe food was the best in Angra, probably on the whole island.
They had real vegan/vegetarian options. Others only offered a couple of tapas.
The nut roast and the lentil balls were on of my best vegan dishes ever!
We had the Soup of the day everytime because it was so amazing. The fusion of European dishes and oriental herbs is just great.
They offer local Beer and wine, and as a special, free olives from the island. They are small, but very intense, fruity and can easily compare with selected ones from italy, Spain or the main land.
The atmosphere is friendly and familiar and of you are lucky, you fetch one of the tables by the window and have a beautiful view on the harbour and the sea.
And in my opinion besides the food most important, the staff is lovely! The always take their time for a little chat and if possible for a longer conversation. We learned a lot about the island and Portugal in general.
We will definitely come back!!!
