Only one vegan option - Edit
As a vegan, I wouldn't recommend this place, unless you're prepared to eat a huge dish of chick peas (which is actually ok). If you're vegetarian, they have some cheese made on the island which I guess can be nice.
Read moreThe service can be improved, but apparently this is true in all thr island, with very few exceptions (waiters not very friendly, speaking little English).

Una sola opzione vegana che consiste in un insalata verde con ceci saltati e porro. Semplice ma buona!

No vegan option - Edit
We arrived on one of the many festivals the island offers. Many restaurants alter their menus for this, so there was no vegan option available. Our waiter tried to get it from the kitchen but they said it wasn’t possible.

Buena opción para veganos - Edit
Podriam existir más opciones veganas. No osbtante es una isla pequeña con mucha tradición de pescado y producción de vacuno, así que no està nada mal. La ensalada vegana está buena

Fine, Portuguese-style vegan dish - Edit
Finding vegan meals on Terceira (and probably most of the Azores) is a challenge. The cuisine mostly consists of, unsurprisingly, fish and seafood. Finding vegetarian food is difficult, but vegan even more so. That's why I'm glad that this restaurant is serving a vegan platter! It's a savoury salad with tempered chickpeas, some lettuce and croutons. The taste is good and I appreciate how the meal has a Portuguese flavour to it. You pay a fair price and the meal is definitely enough. Hopefully, more restaurants in Angra will follow suit, and start adding at least one vegan option to their menu!

Excellent - Edit
I'm a waiter at this restaurant and I'm personally responsible for the vegan option here (being it a personal recipe of mine).
Read moreI advise every vegan to at least come and taste it.
