Lovely bright friendly cafe

A few vegan options. The avocado mushroom lemon on toast was delicious and the lemon and sage tea sublime. If there were any vegan cakes when I visited it would have been 5 stars.

Vegan Tapas Night in a Beautiful and Intimate Setting!

Caffi’r Cob has recently started hosting Vegan Tapas Nights, and I was thrilled to be able to attend on Saturday, May 4th. Caffi’r Cob advertise the events on their FB page, and booking is incredibly easy as Rob explains the ordering process and how the evening will run with great clarity over email.

We were greeted by a friendly staff member who was also responsible for cooking the tasty Tapas dishes. The food was quick to arrive, and we just about managed to fit our giant order onto the small table for two. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the staff made sure to inform us what each dish was from our pre-order. The food was gorgeous, and my favourite dish is a tie between the Broccoli and the Sweetened Braised Carrots. Both dishes were well prepared and were each paired with amazing sauces that really complimented the flavour of the veg. I also really loved the Dukkah and was also surprised by how much I enjoyed the Baked Whole Feta. There were two vegan dessert options, in addition to several vegetarian dessert options that the cafe generally runs, and I went for the Vegan Cheesecake.

Although there were a couple of minor slip ups during my visit (vegan wine not being prepared in advance of the evening and some items missing from the dishes) they pale in comparison to how amazing the Vegan Tapas Night was. I highly recommend that fellow vegans attend these events at Caffi’r Cob. Most eateries that serve meat do not go to such an effort for vegans, and this charming little cafe absolutely deserves some support for hosting these wonderful events. Check out their FB for event postings. The next one is May 18th!!!

Pros: Makes a Real Effort For Vegans, Tasty Food, Interesting Menu Choices, Healthy Options, Vegan Food Events, Beautiful Cafe

Cons: Vegan Wines Not Pre-Prepared, Some Items Missing On Certain Dishes
