Serves meat, vegan options available. Small cafe very close to the entrance of Zion National Park. The paper menu has a different label/symbol for vegan and vegetarian (the online menu does not clearly label vegan). Vegan items include a tofu scramble with Daiya cheese, steel cut oats or sprouted buckwheat groats with seeds/nuts/fresh fruits and the option of soy, almond, or coconut milk. For lunch an Asian tofu wrap, hummus wrap, ultimate veggie wrap (loaded with filling veggies), and some pizzas and sandwiches that can be made vegan. Also has vegan cookies (not made-in-house). Reported closed June 2024.

Not really vegan friendly anymore - Edit
No more markings on the menu at all. The staff barely knew what could be made vegan, and most of the menu couldn't. The chef wasn't sure if she ever had vegan cheese at the back somewhere...

Great lunch spot - Edit
Not a ton of great vegan choices here in Zion, so we stopped here and I ordered the tofu salad. It’s not labeled as vegan or vegetarian because it can be made with chicken and there’s a little honey in the lime cilantro dressing (which is ok with me). The tofu salad was curry flavored and yummy. It was so great to have such a good salad where options are limited.
Read moreIn addition it was hot and I was craving an Arnold Palmer. Although they only had lemonade in bottles, the server suggested she make me a lemon smoothie with iced tea. So good!
Pros: Several vegan options , Super helpful service

Supergood Superfood - Edit
I ordered the Superfood Veggie Wrap. It was fresh and filling. I was worried the variety of ingredients wouldn't taste good combined, but they did. My only complaint is the wastefulness of providing individual bags of chips.

I really enjoyed this place for breakfast, their tofu scramble is delicious and big, with loads of veggies. Good coffee too, although if you don’t want to drink out of a paper cup, you have to specifically ask for a real mug (I think that’s due the pandemic).

Excellent cafe with ingredient lists! - Edit
The host even went as far to ask about my comfort with honey and butter when I asked about the lentil soup (which was vegan!). When I ordered the salad she made sure to remove the cheese!

Don’t waste your money - Edit
Been vegan for 11 years and I’m telling you this is not worth it lol. I paid like $12 for a tofu scramble and it was the smallest portion of food I’ve ever got. If it was even close to a fair amount I’d comment on the taste but it made it [censored]. Like [censored] if you didn’t have enough vegan cheese or something you should have [censored] said something. The portion we got was worth $5.50. And a hair was in the box... I am embarrassed for them that they even brought us this.
Read morePros: Nothing.
Cons: Too expensive for what it is lol (and it isn’t), Smallest portion I’ve ever had , I have nothing nice to say

They think that chicken is vegan... - Edit
Really, there is a plate called Asian chicken or Tofu salad, with a vegan logo. So I ordered an Asian salad, vegan version. They told me that vinaigrette has honey, i had to tell them that then not that vinaigrette as hein et is not vegan and I ask for a vegan version of the plate... they have a chicken salad without dressing. When I told the mistake, they yell that I had to specify I wanted tofu for my vegan asked plate... and got a curry tofu (I can’t have curry for medical reason) that was not specified on the menu. And no vinaigrette.

Friendly place for vegan sandwiches near Zion - Edit
Simple wraps with fresh ingredients. Messy so best to eat at their tables outside instead of bringing with you for a car ride. Great staff. Delicious.

Good tofu wrap, but the pizza crust has dairy in it, so even though they offer vegan cheese as an alternative the pizza is not vegan (sad day!)

Glad to see plenty options when in the middle of nowhere. Although the pizza and panini were a bit industrial, it was still tasty. We are more used to European food. The staff are super nice and helpful. They have some good snack options for the road too

pay attention to the food you get - Edit
The place looks cute, but doesn't have many vegan options. When we were there (1/8/2018), there were only a couple of vegan salads and 2 vegan wraps. I ordered the veggie wrap, but the waitress gave me the one with turkey in it which I only realised after I had taken a bite :(!!!!

"just scoop it off" - Edit
Food was good, but they definitely do not understand vegan requests. My soup, although requested vegan, was served with goat cheese. When I asked for it to be remade vegan, was told "it's not mixed in, just scoop it off." I find this to be an unsatisfactory answer. Had a good salad, also asked for it vegan, and it came with a side of bread toasted with butter. The tofu addition was more of a curried tofu scramble than what I expected. I was hoping for sauteed cubes, so it was a little underwhelming. I was looking for fresh and light, but I won't go back.

We ordered two wraps to go to take when we hiked the narrows. One spicy Asian tofu wrap and a veggie delight wrap. Both were delicious. Plenty of avocado on the veggie delight. Also saw they offered packages vegan cookies.

So good! - Edit
My husband and I were extremely happy we found this place. I ordered the Portobello mushroom pizza with vegan cheese and he ordered the tofu wrap and both were so delicious. It's good to know we have choices being far away from home. The place was very cute with friendly staff and even my non-vegan family members loved the food they ordered. Worked for both sides. Would definitely recommend.

Not Bad - Edit
The tofu scramble was good but not flavorful. The smoothie tasted like packaged fruit purée and ice thrown in a blender, not fresh organic fruit blended with soy milk or anything impressive. The espresso was just OK and the wifi was horrible.

Yummy, healthy vegan options right outside of Zion - Edit
After being on the road for over a week with sparse vegan choices, it was great to find Cafe Soleil and be able to eat well.
Read moreWe ate there twice and had the same things both times--not because we had to--because we wanted to. I had the Asian Tofu Salad. The tofu served at Cafe Soleil has a curry flavor and is shredded on the salad. The salad is large and comes with a pumpernickel roll (with garlic oil spread).
As always, my S.O. got a wrap--this time the Asian Tofu wrap which was served with chips. Again, the tofu was curry-flavored, and the wrap included fresh veggies.
We LOVED the relaxed atmosphere of the cafe. The staff was very friendly and even gave us information about Zion National Park. Speaking of Zion, Cafe Soleil is right on the edge of the park which makes it convenient to exit the park to have a healthy lunch and then return to hiking.
In addition to vegan wraps and salads, the cafe offers vegan pizza and several breakfast options. (The breakfast burrito can be made vegan as well.)
Springdale is a tourist town with inflated prices, so finding healthy options at a reasonable price was a nice surprise.
Pros: Menu clearly labeled, Large portions--fair price, Conveniently located on edge of Zion NP
Cons: Can get crowded

so yummy! - Edit
Finding dog friendly vegan restaurants on the road is a challenge, and we considered this a great find! Two of us had the power greens wraps (excellent!!!), and one had a panini the kitchen happily modified to vegan by substituting the cheese for curried tofu. The bonus was the patio seating (with misters) allowing our dog to join us. With the heat, anything else would never have happened and we would have missed out on a yummy meal.
