Good vegan place in the area - Edit
If you know the other Café Pinson places, the menu remains pretty much the same with only small differences. Almost all their menu is vegan.
Read moreThis Café Pinson is located on the basement level where there is also a food market.
We went there for lunch. I had the brown rice with eggplant, lemon and basil. It was very tasty, although I couldn't taste the basil, and it reminded me of a risotto. For dessert, I had the chocolate fondant which was so delicious. My friend had the "assiette du jour" with salad, roosted vegetables, quinoa patties, potatoes and tapenade, and the apple crumble for dessert. All were very good. All the desserts were vegan!
There are only a few sittings. The place is quite noisy as there are other food stalls around and the market. So not the best place if you want some quietness.
The staff is very nice but a bit overwhelmed. We waited a bit before getting our dishes but it was ok. When we went to pay, the staff gave us a madeleine (with almond and nuts, very good!) as an applogise for the wait.
They have extended their café until end of December 2015 and might extend further in 2016.
Definitely a place to stop if you go shopping in the area.
Pros: Tasty food, Location
Cons: Noisy, Few sittings
