Very disappointed - Edit
I wish I could say this cafe is great but sadly the food is very lacking. When I went a few items weren’t available and what was was not impressive. It’s more like vegan food you’d cook at home. Toasted sandwich was tomato and cheese????? The bread had a massive piece missing. The burger patty was like a coles bought one. There’s so much you can do with vegan food. If you can’t reheat or cook basic food you might be happy here but for all the variety around I wouldn’t go back or recommend! I went on the reviews on Facebook and not sure who wrote them all.

Nice 100% Vegan Venue in Melbourne's Countryside - Edit
I visit here whenever staying at my "country house" in Coburg.
Read moreThe experience has been pretty good each time.
The backyard area is very kitsch and relaxing. Although the back gate is always locked, so unfortunately the "dine n dash" option is limited to those who are good at leaping over fences! ;)
They do a pretty authentic Vegan Big Mac which allows vegans to enjoy normal people food without needing to hack a cow into pieces!
Toasties are nice too.
There's certainly some room for improvement in a few areas.
BUT.... owner Sam is very friendly and receptive to constructive feedback. So please talk* with her before giving petty reviews!

Keep up the good work Cafe 435.

Yummy big brekkie - Edit
This place is a solid 'Good'. Big breakfast was great, large serving, maybe the potatoes were a bit too salty. Coffee was good. Not much kid friendly food to order, but I ordered a choc milkshake and she split it into two decadent cups for the kids, but the muffins always seem a bit too dry. Love the backyard, nice music but can't stand the ads! Friendly service!

Sweet life - Edit
I would have liked to give this all vegan cafe a higher rating but unfortunately, the meals were just not great. The burger could really use a better patty and a better roll for starters.
Read moreOn a positive note, if you have a sweet tooth you'll enjoy browsing the extensive desserts menu. Iced-coffee/chocolate is well priced, as are the smoothies.

Great Courtyard, good food - Edit
We have gone a few times. The large rear courtyard is great for bringing our dog to. Had the mac and cheeze special- it was probably the best I've tasted (Looks bland but the flavour was amazing!). Also love the Mediterranean breakfast.
Read moreHighly recommend the ice coffee as well (great being able too get an ice coffee with ice cream instead of just ice cubes)

Average - Edit
I was very happy to find a completely vegan cafe very close to home. Unfortunately the food was very underwhelming. We ordered a burger and falafel plate, the patties and falafel are both store bought. The burger patties are a sanitarium brand which are not nice at all. We sat out in the court yard which is nice but had blaring music and ads from 101.9 so not the nicest ambience. The idea is great but they need to step up the quality.

Cheerful, simple, satisfying - Edit
Bright, friendly atmosphere. Very reasonably priced food. We had the schnitz burgers which came with a generous portion of hot chips with sauce. It was simple and very tasty. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. Good coffee. They stock ethical drinks like the karma cola range. Loved the dog-friendly, kid friendly courtyard area.

VEGAN BURGERS!! - Edit
Delicious vegan burgers and lovely staff! The chocolate smoothie bowl was too sweet and runny, perhaps try freezing your bananas first and adding raw cacao powder and just a little bit of sugar and a pinch of salt! I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I'm lucky enough to live close to this place, and have been several times.

Friendly 100% vegan cafe - Edit
Newly opened cafe in Pascoe Vale with a great range of breakfast, mains and desserts.
Read moreThe almond chai latte was delicious and not too sweet.
My favourite is the falafel plate. Fattoush salad topped with freshly made falafels and hummus. Very filling and very affordable.
They also have a great range of sweets. Some are made in house and some are from Compassionate Kitchen and The Cake Collective.
Pros: Large outdoor seating out the back, 100% vegan, Wide range of dishes
