Needs more flavour - Edit
Ordered the Sweet Pear pizza (mushroom & truffle cream, vegan mozzarella, pear, red onion, walnut, rocket, balsamic glaze) and found it bland and dry. The drizzle of balsamic glaze was the only flavour. There was no herb taste, and I couldn't see or taste the mushroom & truffle cream.
Read moreThe only thing I liked was the cheese, which had a really good fluffy texture.
The pizza base was thin and crispy, the crust not spongey like it used to be, and didn't seem wood fired.
It was not expensive though.

Nice to have some vegan options - Edit
While I applaud their vegan options, the vegan cheese is not up to standard. On the right track, though!

Good selection - Edit
Nice to see a good selection of vegan pizzas being offered. Food came out fast and the staff were friendly. Will definitely be back to try some other pizzas.

all bases covered - Edit
Why did I wait so long to try this local vegan pizza? Probably because I usually favour Shop 225's options with mock meat. If you don't like vegan sausage on your pizza though, Ita.Co is the perfect choice. I picked the spud pizza from about 10 different vegan options. The wood fired bases are perfectly puffed up like chewy pillows. I loved the friarielli, cooked with lemon and chilli to add a nice bite, cutting through the chunks of roasted potato (which might have even been fried) and dollops of creamy vegan "mozzarella" (which was more like fior di latte). I felt it was missing some umami flavours so I added some green olives and vegan salami from the fridge at home. Had to get that mock in somewhere!

Great review. Haven't tried this one yet. Always go for the mushroom one or the basic margarita, as I'm not a big fan of the fake meats. (same at shop 225)
