Limited but Tasty Option - Edit
We ended up at Bun & Patti on Thanksgiving as it was one of the only shops with a vegan option open at 8 PM. I ordered the only clearly labeled vegan option, an Impossible burger. The burger was good and was more creative than just a plain burger. The burger included a vegan sauce and cheese. However, my main complaint is that I feel like a $17 burger could include fries. I was under the impression it came with fries, and oddly, the waiter asked my boyfriend if he wanted fries or onion rings and not me. I assumed it was because the onion rings aren’t vegan, so he assumed I wanted fries, but after the bill came, we learned they charge $5.25 for a small side of fries that do not come with the burger. I am not docking a star due to this because I should have clarified, but I do wish they had more vegan food options. Besides our food, we also ordered cocktails, and they were very good! Overall, while our waiter was friendly, the food came out relatively fast, and the shop was cute; under usual circumstances, I would choose a restaurant with more vegan options.

Best Vegan Burger I’ve Had - Edit
The burger is incredible… pepperjack perfectly melted… sundries tomatoes, pickles, sprouts, special sauce, amazing bun, avocado. Fries are fantastic, and wine selection is amazing.

A new restautant in San Diego - Edit
I recently visited Bun and Patti and was blown away by their amazing vegan options! The vegan burger was a standout dish, with a delicious vegan bun and vegan cheese already included in the menu. It's so great to see a restaurant taking vegan options seriously. I was also impressed to find out that their fries are cooked in separate oil from meat oil, and that they have a vegan wine option available. The atmosphere was upscale yet casual and fun. I highly recommend Bun and Patti to anyone looking for a great burger joint with vegan options!
