Come for the jalapeño cheese galette!

The espresso here was on the sour side but it might be okay if you have a latte or other milk drink. I wouldn’t come here for the coffee, but they do have a case full of vegan pastries from Split Bakehouse that I highly recommend. They even have a savory option, the jalapeño cheese galette with everything seasoning on top. It’s amazing! The bakery is a bit far away so I’m glad I got to try it while I’m in SD.

Pros: The vegan jalapeño cheese galette

Cons: Sour Americano

So many vegan goodies!

I came here thinking they had like two vegan pastries, only to be absolutely delighted they had an entire shelf of like 8 amazing vegan goodies from the local vegan bakery Split Vegan Bakehouse!

The guy who helped us was cool, and told us about each one (they weren't labeled). I got the vegan cream cheese pastry which was flaky, buttery, and had a gorgeous dollop of tart vegan cream cheese. Such a rare treat! The cinnamon roll, muffin, and scone looked generously oversized; I should have came back again to try more.

Definitely going on my favorite places.

Pros: vegan pastries, lots of options, modern interior

Great Veg Pastries

They have a very clear vegan pastry menu on the counter right in front of the register. I’ve tried their blueberry scone and their cheese danish; both are great, but the danish was to die for. The dough was flaky, well flavored, and crisp. So happy I found this place!

New pastries!

As of November 2020 have been seeing regular vegan scones and muffins. The coffee on it's own is fantastic and the housemade syrups are amazing.

Pros: Best coffee in the area, Jalapeño galettes are very good, Seem to be getting more vegan options

Cons: They can run out of pastries by afternoon
