Disappointing - Edit
Popped in for lunch but no available tables. Staff said they'd clear and hold one for us if we'd like to return in 5 minutes. We agreed to this and my partner asked specifically if they had vegan options - they said they had vegan cheese so could do panini's or take the egg off the vegetarian breakfast. All three of us were happy with this and we set off to while away 5 minutes in the village. When we returned we were told they had seen us walk off and given the table away!

Much better than it looks! - Edit
Don't be deceived by it's slightly dull appearance, the food and service are great and it has a nice little sheltered back yard where you can sit out. Got the veggie/vegan breakfast with an extra tatty scone instead of the egg and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious vegan haggis and great tatty scones. Vegan spread available for your toast, selection of teas and coffees with 2 kinds of non dairy milk. We took away some tasty date and oat slices for our walk. Very reasonable prices and dog friendly. The only thing I would fault is sauces in sachets, which I just hate using because it's so wasteful. Would definitely go back again for breakfast or tea/coffee and cake.
