Menu change leaves few vegan options - Edit
Brass Monkey’s most recent menu change is disappointing, having removed most of the vegan options. The old plant-based section of the menu is gone (so no more vegan tacos, churros, etc.) and there are now only three food items listed as being veganizable on request: a “power bowl” (which is tasty and reasonably healthy except for being served over white rice instead of brown); the obligatory avocado toast; and toast without the avo. Since nearly every veg-friendly cafe in town serves avo toast and more besides, there’s now little to recommend this place in particular. That said, the flavors of the veganized power bowl and avo toast were good.

Delicious Vegan Food - Edit
Vegan options clearly labelled on the menu. Friendly staff, who were very accommodating, despite being very busy. Coffee and food excellent.

New location, new vibe - Edit
Brass Monkey has relocated to Eighth St, Mildura, some time since the last review on HappyCow. It’s now a pretty classy breakfast and lunch cafe. Staff are very friendly and the coffee was amazing. There isn’t a huge range of vegan options but they are clearly marked on the menu (VG) and the avo toast I got was incredible. A few more vegan options would be great but still worth a visit I’d say

Fantastic service and consistently delicious food (I’ve been quite a few times). Staff are very knowledgeable about veganism. The banquet menu can be made vegan on request!!
