Tasty food😄

I had the vegan Gardens pizza. It was very delicious. Has a good variety of vegan options.

Recently when for cocktails, it said all cocktails were vegan. However, some did have honey, which you can get remove.

Perfect!

Would give this place 5 stars if HappyCow would let me. I had one of the most nourishing, memorable vegan meals here on the one occasion I went to Plymouth, between lockdowns. I used to live in Plymouth and wished a place like this had existed then. In fact, I wish more [vegan] restaurants were like this. I had a vermicelli dish with fresh veggies that tasted oven-roasted, in a light soy and garlic sauce with crispy tofu (fluffy on the inside) and for dessert a cheesecake with fresh berries, all gluten-free with no cross-contamination, as I had no symptoms afterwards. As a coeliac, usually the only desserts I can choose from are sorbets and flapjacks. Cheesecake was my favourite dessert as a vegetarian so I got so excited that I applauded the cake when it was served to me (big cringe) and I loved it. There were other options too I wanted to try, like the curry and pizza. The staff hit the perfect balance between being friendly and giving you personal space and privacy. The interior was also elegant and spacious. The food really put me in a good mood and I felt very happy after such a wholesome meal to walk along the Barbican during a full moon, whilst fully satiated. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Pros: Wholesome, creative and delicious food, Coeliac-friendly, Elegant interior

Fantastic Thai Curry!

The restaurant is bright and modern and they have a small menu but with enough choices for vegans. I had the sweet potato wedges with pesto to start and then the Thai yellow curry. Both were delicious, filling and felt healthy and they also had a list of which wines were vegan so I didn't have to Google it! I was too full to try dessert but they had what looked like a great range of them too, so I would absolutely recommend Bonne Sante!

Pros: Nice range of vegan options, Friendly staff, Quick service

Cons: None

Fantastic!

This place was fantastic! The staff were friendly and welcoming, very helpful with the menu and were quick and attentive when serving. The restaurant itself was extremely nice and there is an outside area at the front where I sat overlooking the beautiful harbour. The food was absolutely delicious and I thought the prices were exactly right for the quality of food, the generous portions served and the beautiful surroundings. I’ll definitely be going back next time I’m in Plymouth. Would give them 5 stars if I could but the app won’t allow it unless 100% vegan.

Good three course meal

Very nice! The service was good; the waitress was friendly and chilled. The decor and ambience inside were also nice. We sampled 6 vegan options and all were good. The crispy tofu noodles could have been more flavourful and I would have liked the veg to be cooked a little more, but it was nice to have truly ‘crispy’ tofu for once. I highly recommend the sweet potato starter and the cheese cake pudding. If only the brownie was vegan I would definitely have the 3 pudding platter!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Tasty food

Excellent breakfast - going back for dinner!

So happy to find this place. As a vegan with a non vegan husband it can be difficult to find somewhere that provides for both of us. The quality of the food was excellent and it was great to have a vegan meal that had so many elements, the falafel was a particular highlight 😋. The fact that it is owned by a local family who are passionate about providing healthy and delicious food is a massive bonus. You simply have to give them a try!
March 2020. Back for another breakfast and happy to report it’s still as excellent as before! Try the Garden Breakfast, you won’t be disappointed 👍

Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Wonderfully friendly staff, Beautiful surroundings and very clean

Cons: None!

Slow service and overpriced food

Attended recently with a party and waited a very long time for starters to be served. Main meal disappointing. The sweet potato chips luke warm, chicken goujons consisted of 3 small pieces of chicken all served with a very small bowl of coleslaw.
Very overpriced. I have eaten good quality food at acceptable prices at quality resteraunts. Would not return here.

Pros: Friendly staff eager to take drink orders.

Cons: Expensive for food delivered., Very slow service time

Very good

We ate here this evening. The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful.
The two dishes we had were very tasty and made with good, fresh ingredients.
The stir-fry did not have enough rice with it to satisfy (no starter) however, the waitress brought some more which turned it into a satisfying portion. The Thai curry was delicious and plentiful, not too spicy but enough, for me at least.
A great venue for a good meal, at the Barbican.

Pros: Very fresh, healthy food.
