Laid back vegan restaurant with a Bavarian tavern atmosphere est. Dec 2013. Serves Bavarian comfort food like kaiserschmarrn, schnitzel, and mushroom ragout. Also has burgers, salads, and a range of desserts. Note: Advance bookings recommended, because the restaurant gets very busy at peak dinner times. Companion animal friendly. Open Mon-Fri 17:00-23:30, Sat-Sun 12:00-23:30.

One of my favourite restaurants! - Edit
The restaurant serves up delicious food, has a great vibe, and the staff is super friendly! Make sure to book a table ahead of time because it gets really busy due to its popularity.

Still ace! - Edit
Frequented this place years ago when I lived in Munich and I was glad to see it still has a great vibe and delicious traditional food. Opted for a gyros tzatziki plate and it was alllll I needed! 🔥

Delicious German Food - Edit
The food was delicious, the restaurant is cozy, and the service was fast and friendly. I would absolutely come back next time in town, I am so happy this is here! Everything we got was amazing, only note was that I needed to add a bit of salt to a few of the dishes. There were so many amazing flavors and the textures were great too. Highly highly recommend! Parking was a real challenge, though so plan ahead!

Delicious vegan German fare - Edit
Both mine and my husband's dishes were amazing. I had the schnitzel and he had some kind of tempeh/tofu wrap smothered in gravy that was even better than mine. Highly recommend.

Great Bavarian cuisine! - Edit
Loved this place - great menu of Bavarian classics but all vegan. Had vegan spätzle which I had always wanted to try and it was great - like Mac n cheese. Also had buffalo wings and the main came with a delicious side salad too. Highly recommend. Lots of outdoor seating on quiet street.

Good food, slow service - Edit
Went here for dinner as we got it recommend by a friend and it was good.
Read moreThe place is 100 % vegan and serves vegan versions of typical German food like Schnitzel, Mezzelune (stuffed pasta) and Knödel. There's vegan quotes hanging inside and you can also buy printed T-shirts. We had the "Buffalo Wings" and "Loaded fries" as starters and it was good, especially the wings which were super crispy. The loaded fries could in my opinion had been more loaded. As main course I had the Schnitzel “Wiener Art” which you get with sallad, potato salad. This was also very good, especially the Schnitzel which had good consistency.
What brings it down for me is unfortunately the service. It seemed like the waiters did not care that we were there and we needed to wait 20 min for them to take our order. The food came out quickly but then again it took a long time to get their attention when we wanted to pay.
Would still really recommend going here as the food was really really good and we might just have had bad luck with the service!

The best veganized German food - Edit
Bodhi is top notch, turning Bavarian specials into veganized versions and adding tastes to my flavor palette I’ve never had before.
Read moreI had the Bodhi Pfanderl which is a vegan breaded steak, with red cabbage and potato dumpling in beer sauce. It was unique, filling and amazing.
I also tried a bit of my friend’s Gyros and they were also great, and inventive.

Cool to find a restaurant serving vegan versions of traditional Bavarian food. I loved the vibe and the food was good too! I got one of the more expensive items on the menu, but the portion was bigger than I could eat in one sitting!

Great bavarian all vegan restaurant - Edit
Amazing "traditional" bavarian food made vegan. The restaurant looks like one you find in an old bavarian village (except for the go vegan messages)
Read moreYOU NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION!!! A call in the morning is often enough but they are almost always booked out in the evening.
Very hearty, especially their "Bodhi Pfanderl" and the Schnitzel. Their dumplings are really good as well.
They have good looking desserts but we never got to try one as we couldn't eat more after the main course.
They have one gluten-free option (gyros) which is really tasty.

Best eatery in Munich! 🍺 - Edit
Craving some classic German comfort food? Look no further! Or you just want to try some classic German dishes? Again, look no further - this is THE place to check out. From the cheesy obazda, the classic schnitzel with potato salad, käsespätzle (imagine a mac&cheese but 10x better), to soy cutlets with red cabbage and potato dumplings, here, you’ll find it all. And as if that’s not enough the also have amazing sweet dishes in the dessert section (Kaiserschmarren - a torn up, caramelized pancake; or Germknödel - a yeast dumpling filled with plum compote and smothered in vanilla sauce). The food is AMAZING and really authentic tasting. It brought me back to my childhood days, where grandma used to make these dishes for me. Check it out! 🤤

Absolut genial - Edit

Deserving of the stars - Edit
For the first time since I've been vegan I was reminded of how excited I got trying local food when I went to a new place. Bavarian food in this respect isn't something I would have often but I really enjoyed the restaurant's feel, the choice of the dishes and the food. The drinks were also good.
Read moreThere are a few repairs needed around the restaurant. For example, the toilet door handle in the women's bathroom is broken and there was also a nail sticking out from a broken piece of wood on the bench next to where we where sitting.
It is great that this place is serving up German dishes and of we come back to Munich I would like to return.

Outstanding - Edit
Probably the holy grail of vegan Bavarian food. Everything we had was perfectly executed and tasted delicious. It's been a long time I enjoyed a restaurant as much as Bodhi.
Read moreWe had the Buffalo Wings to start with, then the Bodhi Pfanderl and the Enten Braten. We finished with the Mousse au Chocolat. The latter was just divine.
The portions are a good size, service is swift and friendly. There's really no reason not to go here frequently. It's probably a good idea to book in advance. The joint was packed when we arrived and without a booking we would have had to wait.
Pros: Crazy good vegan Bavarian food , Friendly service, Cosy outlet, cool decorations
