Perfect Penne Primavera

The menu didn’t have a vegan section like it did on their website but I was able to order the penne primavera just without the feta cheese. It had very fresh and well cooked al dente bell peppers, zucchini, and broccoli; a nice amount of garlic, and capers. We also had the bruschetta, which was good.

Cons: Online menu different from restaurant menu, Only a few vegan options, Didn’t have the lasagna mentioned in previous post

Can’t complain at all

Bobby V’s

Very fair and good for what was available, convenient restaurant to the hotel I’m staying at. Reasonable price, great and resourceful service. Low key wanted to lick the plate clean- but some people got to make a reasonable wage out here somehow.
Main things I would improve are: more vegan options, a menu for vegans so you don’t have to pull them to the side and ask and just order a number perhaps, but yeah- I thought it was very good for what it was. 4

Pros: Service, Taste, Reasonable price

Cons: Menus/variety

Pizza!

We stated our Vegan/GF needs and were well taken care of. GF pizza with our choice of toppings and a Greek salad(hold the Feta).
Delicious, Thank You!

Vegan and gluten free

No vegan cheese but offers a vegan lasagna and gluten free pasta. I would say it is good food for what you find in America!

Pasta la vista, baby 🌱

I had the vegan lasagna and was pleasantly surprised that their vegan options didn’t narrow down to spaghetti marinara. It was hearty, well done even in the middle (I sometimes find it hard to accomplish this with lasagna) and overall very tasty. Still would have loved if they offered a vegan bread.

Good food

I take the spinach lasagna. It was good but not the best vegan lasagna I had. The cocktails where very good.

Pros: Several vegan options

We loved the vegan lasagna!!!

I am quite particular when it comes to vegan food having raised three vegan sons. This vegan spinach lasagna is worth the stop. I’m going back again for another round. The primavera is bland. Go for the lasagna or try another place. Mahalo!

Pros: Fresh local veggie salads, Oh my gosh! Vegan lasagna is a must try!!!, Fresh bread with olive oil/bals and bruschetta

Cons: No cons. Go for it

Tourist trap

Huge tourist trap, 16$ pasta dish is not even a medium sized portion

It was okay.

They had clearly marked vegan options, but still haven't gotten a vegan bread option so that was a bummer. It was pretty pricey for no bread and okay food :(

Pros: Clearly labeled

Cons: Expensive for what you get

3 vegan choices on the menu

We ate here twice since it was a restaurant we could walk to and had vegan choices which is good for this area. It was better the first evening when it was less busy.

Pros: Great to have some vegan items listed on the menu., Friendly server

Cons: Food was ok but fairly ordinary

Cute atmosphere, friendly staff

Vegan lasagna was pretty good...hearty portions and nice flavor, smothered in tomato sauce.

Pros: Cute place with indoor and outdoor seating

Cons: Minimal vegan options, but clearly marked

Yummy lasagna

I’ve been here twice now and got the vegan lasagna both times. It’s very good, especially for only having tofu and not some vegan cheese. I was brought the non-vegan bread too, but so what. Servers have to deal with so many dietary restrictions it is understandable. I didn’t tell her I was vegan. 1 star for that seems ridiculous and isn’t helpful. There are very limited vegan options on Kauai so I’m thrilled this place has 3 vegan options. The service is also excellent and friendly. Now if they would just add Daiya to their pizza menu...

More training needed

I ordered the vegan lasagna, which tasted fine, although my experience with my server made me lose my appetite. I informed my server that I was vegan as she was dropping off the bread for the table, and then she came back 10 minutes later to say “by the way, that bread is not vegan” after seeing me eat a piece. None of the servers I interacted with seemed to have any idea what vegan meant and had to ask the chef multiple questions, including whether or not there was cheese in my lasagna (it was cleverly disguised tofu). Very disappointed that I was served non-vegan food without being informed, this experience really put me off eating at restaurants that aren’t 100% vegan. The lasagna itself was nice and the chef seemed well informed, this was definitely not his fault, but unfortunately I can’t justify more than one star given the service I received.

Ugh

Nice servers and I do appreciate them offering vegan options but my food was terrible- I think they put the entire oregano crop of the previous year into my sauce

3 vegan options

three vegan options. i got the pasta primavera and my mom got spinach lasagne. they use tofu as the ricotta. she said hers was really good! mine had zucchini, peppers, garlic, broccoli, & capers. something about it was really tangy. i’m assuming the capers. it was okay still just tasted a little funny.

Pros: reasonably priced , outside seating

At least they’re trying.....

As a resident Im always excited to try places here that offer vegan options I keep going back till I’ve tried them all however for this establishment I can only give praise on having 3 vegan options. Unfortunately my experience was less than good. I had the Vegan Lasagna, was so excited then a big let down in flavor and portion then the price compared to portion size. From the service being cordial at best to hardly any flavor in the food. I’m not even going to give it another visit. Hope others have a better experience. Aloha

Pros: 3 Vegan options

Great Vegetarian and Vegan selections

Bobby V's is an Italian style restaurant where you can eat in or take out in the Kapaa/Wialua area. It is easy to find as it is in the Coconut Marketplace. They have 3 great vegan dishes, as new residents here we have had and highly recommend all three. They also have numerous vegetarian dishes in addition to the vegan offerings. Their vegan dishes are moderately priced ($9.99 for the spaghetti, $14.99 for the Pasta and Lasagna) and they are open from 11 to 9 daily, unlike other vegan restaurants in the area which close as early as 3 pm on some days.

Pros: great food, gluten free offerings, good value and friendly staff

Cons: cardboard take out containers
