There is a lot to say on bob and berts, overall the vegan food taste okay.

Bob and berts reminds me of a fancy fast food chain, but not at the price point.

Pros -
- Great for families
- Great for groups
- Has a lot of vegan options, maybe 7 or 8
- Food doesn't taste like crap

Cons -
- Its not fine dinning, its basic food, you could buy it in a supermarket.
- Its not cheap, its not expensive, but for the quality of food, you'd expect it to be cheaper. For example, i had the vegan hotdog, its not even a 6 inch hot dog and doesn't come with fries or any sides, but costs £11.
- You have to pay for sides.

If its your only options, you will enjoy it, but you would save a lot of money by making it at home; maybe you cannot be bothered to put a hotdog in a bun and top it with curry sauce, like me.

Lots of vegan options here!

Great vegan options. The hot dog with curry sauce is soooo good! Also had the falafel wrap and the vegan breakfast which were decent. They also had some other vegan hot food and vegan flapjacks.
Probably would have gone hungry if this place didn't exist!

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Expensive

Dirty Dog

Bob and Berts have collectively taken over every small town in NI, and in some places there are 2. This location have freshly moved from what is now "coffee culture" into the spiffy, freshly opened MontagU flats. View is still great, new location is more open but much the same.
They previously didn't offer anything that directly appealed to vegans and didn't have much on offer as a lunch for Veggies other than 1 chickpea based ciabatta pannini. The new extended veg and vegan menu is welcome. Its based around the hotdog, a custom made one seemingly. They offer a fry, a beetroot based burger, salads and a hotdog, which is what i opted for. Really portstewart does not do much for Vegans other than custom made things, but with neighbours Roghans offering Vegan gelatos things are looking up.
Got my hotdog to go on a busy day and have to say I enjoyed it. The sides and curry sauce were great. Awarding 3 as it wasn't anything sensational, but glad to see a vegetarian menu finally adorning B&Bs. Should be able to get something for everyone here but be warned it can get busy.

Pros: Local chain , Dedicated menu

Cons: Still not loads, Busy

Good vegan & veggie junk food menu

This place is a welcome refuge in an area that has very few vegan options. There's a small but clearly marked vegan and vegetarian menu. My wife and I ordered the vegan hot dog, which comes with fried onions, curry sauce and an option of several sides - fries, sweet chili fries, onion rings and a couple of others. The hot dog had two hearty sausages and was really tasty, although the fried onion was actually raw, so we picked that out. The staff seemed knowledgeable about which sides were vegan. Handy, as this wasn't labelled on the menu. Shame none of the cakes/sweets were vegan, but considering the dearth of vegan options outside the larger cities/towns in NI, having this amount of choice is a godsend, and good job Bob & Berts - hopefully they get a lot of uptake and expand the options. P.S. a word of caution - there are numerous Bob & Berts around NI but they don't all have the vegan/vegetarian menu, so check ahead...

Pros: Dedicated vegan menu, Reasonable price, Range of plant milks

Cons: No vegan cakes/baked goods, Sides are not labelled v/VG but staff can advise
