Nice cafe offering coffee/tea and baked goods that are vegan friendly. Today I saw vegan banana bread and a vegan banana walnut scone. I had the latter and it was delicious but I forgot to ask for jam, and they didn’t offer/ask anyway, so I had to eat it dry (because I had ordered it takeaway), which made it less pleasant to eat.

Great bright spot - Edit
One vegan sandwich on the menu but on the specials board there was a vegan soup and salad option. I had the soup which was kale and borlotti bean. It was good and served with sourdough and butter which was exchanged for a vegan spread on request. He had a Thai salad bowl - it looked delicious. Quite light looking but some oil in it. The coffee was good. We tried the two vegan sweet options available the day we visited. A banana and walnut loaf and a raw chocolate ball. Both were good. The corner position means the cafe is bright and overlooks the harbour. Popular spot. Also some deli items and books available for purchase. Recommend trying despite the limited vegan selection. We had a good lunch and if these dishes and bakes are varied regularly this could become a favourite.
Read moreUpdate July 2023. No vegan specials today. I had the salad plate - 2 salads, leaves, hummus and sourdough. He had avocado on sourdough. Needed more so he had a vegan sandwich and then we shared the vegan pancakes which were delicious and seemed freshly prepared with berries etc. all excellent quality again. Popular spot!
