Tofu scramble low on tofu

Cute little bakery, but the tofu scramble is mostly potatoes with a sprinkling of tofu.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Almost no tofu in tofu scramble

Solid tofu scramble

Cilantro lime Tofu scramble had good flavor and large portion. However, it was mostly potatoes which were tasty but could have used some more tofu. The biscuit was good and I believe whole wheat.

Pros: Cute place, Great service

Cons: Long wait, Limited vegan options, Cash only

Great vegan breakfast if you can tolerate the wait & rude staff

I stopped going here because the wait staff was so rude. The lack of a reservation option and the long wait times on weekends is miserable and then to have a waiter who seems really put out it's too much for me. I used to love the tofu scramble though.

Pros: Only vegan breakfast in Cville

Cons: Only vegan breakfast in Cville

Great breakfast

Tofu hash was really good (although a bit light on tofu and heavy on potatoes); my carnivore partner loved the corned beef hash. Biscuits were good as was the friendly service ; wish I was in Charlottesville more often ... so many more options to try! Thanks for featuring this establishment!!

Tasty Vegan Pancakes with a Downside

I went here after running the Charlottesville Ten Mile Race, and had definitely worked up an appetite. Tried calling beforehand to ask about a wait time, but they don't answer their phone on the weekends. Showed up and ended up waiting over an hour to get seated. Despite this, I remained hopeful that the food would be worth it. I ordered the vegan lemon and blueberry pancakes from the specials menu, and it was great. The food came out pretty quickly and the servers were attentive and kind. Price wasn't too bad either. If you're willing to wait for a long time, you will get great food and service.

Pros: Friendly and Attentive Servers, Great Food

Cons: LONG wait times, Noisy Atmosphere

Great

In Charlottesville it's hard to find vegan breakfast options, but this is the best. Some people gave a bad review because of the wait time. It is small and busy, because it's freak'n good. They have good service and great food. It may take a while to get a seat, but it's worth it. Would give 5 starts if I could.

Pros: Food

Cons: wait time

Wait was manageable, food was great

Our wait on a Saturday morning ended up being about 25 mins which was not bad given previous reviews. There were several (but not many) vegan choices and they were so tasty! I wasn't expecting much and was really impressed with how good my dish was. We'll definitely go again next time we're in Charlottesville.

Pros: Delicious

Cons: Wait

Prison food for vegans

Unfortunately, we did not like the few vegan selections they offered. The tofu scramble was not very tasty but more edible than the over roasted (charred) potatoes and toast. I think the scrambe had dill in it. They didn't have vegan muffins either. A trip to Whole Foods or a natural market would be much better and far healthier and satisfying.

Pros: Possible vegan

Cons: Atmosphere , Not very friendly, Poor food quality
