Great dessert - Edit
This is a 100% vegan restaurant with a diverse set of options. We had the Tofu BLT and the Blossom Burger, both were fair but not outstanding. The fries came in a metal container which is why they were clutched together. In contrast, the tiramisu and the chocolate ganache were great. The tiramisu had an interesting coconut twist to it and the ice cream that came with the chocolate ganache with very delicious.

Cons: Sandwiches weren’t very good, Fries were clutched together , Pricey considering the main courses

Delicious food - Edit
Food-wise, everything was impeccable. I will most definitely come here again. I agree with some of the other reviewers about the bathrooms needing some TLC. This is a fairly expensive venue and the least one should expect is for the facilities to be clean and up to part.

Disappointing - Edit
I've eaten at Blossom a number of times, pre-pandemic, and always loved the food. Last night was very disappointing. The Roasted Cauliflower and Crispy Artichoke starters were really good. Everything else was so-so (Grilled Cheese & Soup, Seitan Piccata) or unpleasant (Nachos, Lasagna). I see another reviewer panned the Seitan Piccata and Lasagna and I agree with their comments. I will give Blossom another try but not any time soon.

Amazingly Delicious Food! - Edit
Oh...my....god! Went here for brunch. I got the tofu Benedict. I cannot recommend this strongly enough. The holindaise sauce is to die for. Simply amazing. My wife got the seitan piccata and I even finished what she couldn't eat. This is the most amazing food! If you're in NYC do NOT pass it up!

Delicious anytime of day - Edit
For this visit, it was lunch. A bird struck my window, so I rushed him to the nearby Wild Bird Fund for care. Afterward, I had to visit Blossom. I’ve been a fan for years, and my only complaint is that there isn’t one near me in Brooklyn.

I love this place - Edit
I have been going here for years, or maybe even a decade. I have brought friends here and eaten solo. I’m always happy. I’ve gotten their vegan chicken sandwich a lot because the rosemary focaccia bread is devine.

Barely edible - Edit
We tried the lasagne and the seitan piccata - we were surprised when both of them strangely arrived immersed in soup. The lasagne was a small island in thin tomato soup, and didn’t have the taste or texture of lasagne…my best description of it is “weird”. The seitan was sitting on some mashed potatoes and also surrounded by a thin vegetable broth - it didn’t have much flavour apart from “wet”. I think the chef needs to learn the difference between “sauce” and soup!
Read moreThe only tasty thing we ate was the starter gnocchi we had which was actually quite nice.
Finally: the cocktails - mine was so sweet I literally couldn’t drink it - it tasted like 90% sugar syrup. When I asked the waitress if they’d added extra syrup she said it was just the elderflower syrup which was clearly bulls*#% since it it hardly tasted of elderflower at all. At least they didn’t charge me for it.

Love this place! - Edit
Been here a few times. Street parking available (metered). Indoor and outdoor seating available. Great menu that changes from time to time. This visit, I started with the kale salad ($18). Good serving size. Lacked flavor. The sweet potato gnocchi was next. Cashew sage cream was delicious. The gnocchi were very good. Serving size was a little small ($16). Moved onto the lasagna ($25). It was filled with flavor. I did not enjoy the broccolini and will substitute it or remove it next time but I would definitely order this dish again. Looking forward to coming back.

Good atmosphere - Edit
Decent food, good location by Central Park, nice atmosphere. To start, we ordered the Buffalo Arancini which was recommended to us by the server. Disappointing! 6 tiny little balls almost the size of marbles for $10. Taste was fine, but not worth $10. We also ordered the Southern Seitan sandwiches. Decent but not a lot of flavor. Asked for more blue cheese sauce to dip them in. Staff seamed annoyed by requests for water or sauces - not attentive. Expensive eatery but then everything is expensive in NYC.

I come here every few months for my all time favorite sweet potato with lentil curry. I also like their sandwiches and brunch specials. Definitely must visit while in NY and on Upper West side.

Not a good experience. - Edit
It was Valentines Day, so I took my wife for coffee and dessert. Pretty expensive - see menu - but I thought it would be a good experience. The coffee was cold and flavor was so so, but at $5 for drip, it should be exceptional - not dishwatery. The dessert was tiramisu and it was probably the best tiramisu I have tasted. On the other hand, the service was non existent, even though it was pretty quiet in the restaurant and there appeared to be lots of staff. No offers for coffee refill, no questions about the food, just received a bill. Normally you would get better service than this at a Taco Bell. Not going back. Maybe it was an off day because the other reviews seem pretty good. But then I noticed that some of the other reviews complained about the service as well. In any case, it is hard to imagine being completely ignored at a higher end restaurant. Not happy.

Lovely Dinner - Edit
On the last evening of our trip to NYC from the UK, my boyfriend and I went to Blossom, a lovely 100% plant-based modern restaurant with really friendly staff. It is in a good location, just next to Central Park. I enjoyed the jackfruit tacos and fries, while my boyfriend had a beyond meat burger with fries.

Afternoon Snack - Edit
We decided to try Blossom on a whim as we were walking past it partly because we saw the other location in the East Village à few days prior and weren’t able to try it out and partly because my fiancé wanted satisfy her sweet tooth. I ordered the nachos which we great, so much toppings that I actually ran out of tortilla chips before the toppings. My fiancé ordered the tiramisu which she loved. It was moist and of great quality. Excellent service and lovely ambiance. #Veganuary

Will not accommodate special diet - Edit
I came with my friend who is on a special medical diet. She asked for a plate of plain steamed vegetables. After looking at the menu and some discussion with the waiter, he told us which vegetables were available in the kitchen and we ordered. She was supposed to get steamed string beans, broccoli rabe, onion, and cauliflower. Several minutes later he came back and said the kitchen would not make a plate of plain steamed vegetables and she had to choose from the list of sides on the menu. We asked which vegetables they were willing to steam and he said broccoli rabe, Brussels sprouts, or kale. Even though the kitchen had many more kinds of vegetables. The waiter apologized and said it was out of his control. She ended up not eating and just sat there as I quickly ate my meal.
Read moreI hate giving a bad review to a vegan restaurant, but their refusal to make a plate of plain steamed vegetables (they were going to charge her $23 for it, before the kitchen refused to make it) leaves me no choice.
