Such a pitty that they closed... - Edit
It's such a shame they've closed – the food was amazing. The starters were huge, like a European main, so it was great value for money. Plus, everything was organic. It’s really sad to see it go.

Completely vegan Restaurant - Edit
Everything about this place is amazing . From the attention, decor , drinks and food of course. Sadly this place is closing this week. It’s one of my regular spots to eat in NyC when lm working here but they have decided to close there doors.

One of the few all-vegan restaurants on the UWS. Pretty good food, though a bit expensive. The tiramisu is to die for

One of my favorite NYC vegan brunches! So sad they will be closing at the end of August 2024.
Read moreGet the classic breakfast if you’re going for brunch - it’s my fave. Perfect/smallish portions of everything you want for breakfast and the vegan sunny side of eggs are a real treat! The French toast is perfectly pan fried and soooo cinnamon-y! I also love their Mac n’ cheese!

Good but not wonderful - Edit
I expected much more after being on the website and reading that it was Michelin recommended.
Read moreWe had the buffalo arantini for appetizer. This was very good.
I had the BLT sandwich with fries. The sandwich was good, but nothing very special. The fries were oily and all stuck together.
My friend had the picatta. She also found it good but nothing very special.

Bountiful Blossom Brunch - Edit
We absolutely enjoyed our brunch at Blossom. We were surprised that recent happy cow reviews were not as positive.
Read moreWe shared the French toast as an appetizer at our table, and it was delicious. The tempeh bacon was really good too. I was surprised though to learn that they do not make it in house.
The country breakfast was wonderful. The tofu scramble was delicious and not overly salty. The apple sage sausage was really good but far from healthy as it was definitely deep fried.
One of our guests enjoyed the pancakes while the other was not overwhelmed by the tofu Benedict.
We would come back to give the restaurant another try to sample the lunch and dinner menus. We always appreciate a 100% vegan restaurant.

After years of considering Blossom as a solid dining experience sadly they’ve dropped the ball completely - Edit
They’ve been serving the same food for the past 20 years and even that has gone down hill. Seitan seemed to have been reheated numerous times the sauce lackluster. The tofu was heavy and tasteless there is no particular atmosphere and the staff only want to move you in and out as fast as possible, uncomfortable when you’re entertaining guests. Cocktails are terrible. A highly disappointing dining experience

It's gone downhill - Edit
This is supposed to be one of the high-end vegan restaurants in NY and it used to be good, so I was kind of shocked today...
Read moreOur food came out five minutes after we ordered it, so it's obviously sitting in the kitchen, not made to order anymore. Which would explain why half of my Tofu Benedict plate was cold. I don't usually make a big deal about these things but it's not a cheap restaurant, so I did ask then to please heat it up. (And it took a few minutes before we could even get a server's attention) And the server said they'd send me a new plate. So I didn't eat anything and waited. Then he came back ten minutes later with just warm potatoes. So now everything else was cold because I'd sat there and waited, thinking they'd be sending me another (warm) plate of what I ordered.
At the point I just ate my cold food because I was hungry lol. It was ok. Nothing I'd need to have again. I could have made it at home and I absolutely could have made it better.
So overall, the quality and service has gone down at Blossom, while the prices have stayed expensive. If you're in NY and making a list of vegan restaurants to visit, this doesn't need to be one of them.
Pros: Food isn't bad, but it's definitely not the best
Cons: Food is not made fresh and has clearly been sittin, Servers could be more attentive, Overpriced

Could Be (Much)Better - Edit
Blossom clearly positions itself as an upscale venue (as in pricing) that welcomes the casual diner (no formal wear required) and that is also family friendly (kids screaming in front of house and background music playing too loudly upon arrival.)
Read moreBlossom used to have higher standards in terms of food preparation and presentation, as well as ambience. Clearly, things have changed, and not for the better. Although they did accommodate my request to turn down the music, they should know better. My food was on the oily side; salad saturated in dressing, and too salty. My entrée experience plus the highly priced menu items were enough to prevent me from ordering dessert here. I don't expect I'll be going back any time soon.
Pros: Server was pleasantly accommodating , Welcoming and friendly staff
Cons: Overpriced, Decline in quality of food since last here., Loud music; screaming kids.

That Fig canopé 😍 - Edit
We went for their Valentine's Day set menu, and it was incredible. That FIG CANOPÉ was perfection. I dream about it and hope they make it a regular item. Their soups are delicious, and the brunch was great. Loved their "vegan egg". And the peach cobbler special. So yes, big fan 😍

Fab brunch! - Edit
I took my husband out for brunch after I completed an event. The eggs and or just fabulous. The eggs Benedict did not have a phenomenal bechamel sauce, but the eggs and biscuits were great. The service was really wonderful as usual. We were excited about the potatoes. Those seem to be deep-fried. And over fried. I’m not sure if it’s just that day. We’ve also been here a few times before and all the food is really good. It’s perfect for a date, lunch with the girls (which I just did), Or a weekend brunch. I highly recommend it.

3/12/23: We ordered the Country Breakfast (tofu scramble with sides) and Pancakes. Both were delicious, but the pancakes were my favorite! Service was good-- there was a delay with our order and we received a 10% discount even though we never made a fuss!

Our second time here, ordered the same food! Very tasty, but pancakes were a little bit dry. Tofu scramble still delicious, along with the sides. Also ordered truffle fries for the table-- delicious. Non vegan friend ordered Ceasar Salad, and he also liked it. Good service.

Consistently disappointing - Edit
Many years ago, I had several meals at Blossom, and was very disappointed in the food, and stopped going as a result of those experiences.
Read moreA family friend recently mentioned that he just had the Blossom Burger and it was delicious, so I felt it was time to give Blossom another go and see if indeed things had improved. Sadly the food quality and prep issues that plagued Blossom in the past continue to haunt it today.
I ordered the Pumpkin Ravioli and the Savory Seitan. The poor quality of the dough appears to have all the earmarks of a bulk purchase from a "b-team" supplier. Compounding the poor dough quality woe was the prep; the ravioli was pan-fried with an excessive amount of salt and oil, with the result of the edges of each piece being overcooked, and the center being under-cooked. The Savory seitan was slightly tastier, though it too was far too salty and oily to truly enjoy as well; cooking 101 - if the food requires lots of salt and oil to taste "good", it might be time for better ingredients and/or a new chef.
Topping all this off was the value for money; each of the dishes ran north of $25, yet the serving sizes were extremely meager, not that I was looking to have a larger portion of such mediocre food.
I would be remiss to leave out the pleasant part of the experience; the decor has been refreshed, the service was warm and prompt, and the server completely understood and dutifully listened to our feedback though it certainly wasn't his responsibility to do so.
While it's always nice to have MORE vegan restaurants than less, I can't say I'll be returning to Blossom any time soon.

Had a very disappointing dinner - Edit
Had two non vegan friends out with me for dinner. Sadly none of us enjoyed our meals. First time I’ve ever sent back a meal, I had the lasagna tasted very bitter. Something felt very wrong I thought I was going to be sick. The waiter changed my meal to a Cesar salad and offered to add a protein. I choose the tofu that was an extra cost and not nice at all. But the salad was nice. My friends did not like there meals and also found it very expensive for what I was.
Read moreI was ill for the next few days, my friends were also not feeling well that evening.
The highlight was the alcohol free Prosecco from Lyre’s and the waiter was lovely.
