Fine dining that's ideal for date night and sharing plates - Edit
One of my favorite restaurants in Roanoke. They serve small plates that are ideal for sharing and date night. There is a nice outside patio in the back of the building. They are accommodating to a vegan diet and can typically modify several items to make them vegan. They offer a seasonal menu and support local businesses.
Read morePros: Food is very good, Very accommodating to different dietary habits
Cons: Expensive, Small plates

An upscale vegan experience - Edit
Bloom is awesome. The menu consists of small sharable plates that allow a couple to sample several dishes. A sample menu is available online but says to ask about vegan options. I called ahead, and they assured me that there were several vegan friendly options. They did not disappoint with several several starters, salads, and even a mushroom sandwich that could be veganized. I highly recommend the patatas bravas (ask for vegan).

Vegan-accommodating tapas - Edit
We ordered tapas-style. They were able to prepare vegan: focaccia, vegetable tempura, potatoes aoli (they put all the sauces on the side, since the other diners were not vegan), strawberry salad. Everything was tasty and I felt confident about the meal.
Read moreAt dessert we ordered chocolate strawberries without the pound cake, but I think the waitress got confused about dietary restrictions at that point (did not specify vegan for dessert, only for the main meal), so the dessert very clearly had milk/cream. Just keep saying and asking about things being vegan, they get it.
Pros: Good options, Great flavor, Nice to eat with everyone else
Cons: Nothing on menu clearly marked vegan, had to ask, Served a dessert with dairy
