Food great, restaurant not so much - Edit
So the food was actually delicious, and really good price. They had a lot of vegetarian dishes which most were probably vegan anyway. We got 3 veg dishes, 3 diff breads and 1 rice to share and were really full and enjoyed the food.
Read moreWhen we sat down, we were poured 2 glasses of chilled water from a jug, I thought ‘great, don’t need to buy a drink’. I then look up and see the waiter, behind the counter, drink directly out of the jug he’s just served us with, mouth on the jug. This really put me off staying, but we’d been walking for ages and couldn’t find any other Indian restaurants. The staff were nice enough when they came over but chattered and watched videos loudly at the counter. A large group were eating outside and kept walking through the narrow aisle, stopping to chat to the staff right next to us, and I just didn’t enjoy the atmosphere of the place. It’s a shame because the food was great, it was just quite overwhelming.
2 stars seems a little harsh but it does need improvement in my opinion, and I must reiterate the food was delicious, but I just really didn’t enjoy the service or atmosphere

It is impossible to have vegan food here we did try but we could taste the cross contamination in the food.

Terrible decor and atmosphere. Owner watched videos on his phone loudly my entire meal. Also seemed to berate his employees. Food was ok but I would not come back.

Doesn’t know what no dairy or vegan means, tells you everything is ok and it’s on the side, but the kitchen sends paneer by accident 2/3 times. I even got a meat samosa once.
Read moreIf you complain (even in a really polite British way) the owner gets humiliated and defensive, or just doesn’t respond and ignores you. I’m a local that has dined in and had many deliveries via apps or direct on telegram.

Pros: Very cheap (until May 2022), Close to riverside nightlife and open late, Is also a guesthouse??

Good Indian Food! - Edit
Good Indian food, menu clearly labelled and you can tell what has milk in it if you’ve eaten Indian food before. Plenty for vegans and they can change the spice level too. Staff were nice, give it a try!
