Great coffee and brunch! They offer a few vegan dishes and oat milk for coffees. We had the soup and the butternut squash sourdough toast and was amazing. Small cafe so might have to wait for a seat but worth it!
Stopped here for coffee before hiking the Quiraing. We were pleasantly surprised when we found a premade vegan white bean sandwich in the case. Grabbed the sandwich and 2 iced oat Americanos - delicious. Ate the sandwich mid hike.
I didn’t enjoy my iced latte, I found it far too bitter tasting. I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try it again, though. Nice space inside and there seemed to be decent enough food options.
This place has a small menu, but the food we had was delicious. For lunch they had a prepared vegan sandwich and soup with bread, and all of it was excellent, fresh and homemade.
Before finding this place we looked at a couple other places in town that were listed as having vegan options, but found that was not the case. We were really happy though to find this place because our lunch was great.
Mostly vegetarian, their specialty seems to be egg toast, but they had vegan options too.
So happy to have found this spot. Tucked away just enough that it wasn't swamped with people, like the rest of the town. Staff was friendly and helpful. Place was clean, hip, and still cozy.
Coffee was very nice, strong and more on the bitter side, which was fine by me! Tried a cappuccino, mocha, and latte. All were lovely.
Had the soup which was a tomato-basil-coconut. Honestly, this was the best tomato soup I've had in as long as I can remember. It also came with bread and salted butter.
Tried the broccoli salad, which was fantastic! Such a great mix of flavors, and I love that it was mostly microgreens.
A lovely little café in the heart of Portree. The hip and somewhat minimalist décor reminded us of Berlin. We had a vegan parsnip soup and a lentil stew, which were both affordable and delicious. Overall, the food offer is not that big, but there is great vegan coffee and a nice atmosphere. The parsnip soup in particular was also quite scrumptious.
Birch is a nice little cafe in the center of portree. It has a couple of vegan food options and plant based milk for coffee/tea. The staff is very friendly and the interior is very pretty. You can also buy some merch like bags and mugs. Definitely recomend this one!
