Best Burger Ever! - Edit
I've only been vegan for two months but I went to visit Big V for lunch on a day in London based on happy cow reviews. I've always been a big burger fan and have found vegan burgers a bit hit and miss, but I've had enough good ones to keep trying them!
Read moreFirstly, I had some trouble locating them having never been to Borough Market, but after finding the food court I quickly realised that the giant pink V was probably them! They hadn't put up the vegan signs yet when I arrived so wasn't 100% until I read the menu though!
I ordered the Holy Smoke burger based on the awesome toppings and the example burgers they have on display, and I was not disappointed!
This was honestly the best burger I have ever had, vegan or non-vegan. The party was just the right balance of crispy and juicy, the buns are soft but toaster perfectly, the sauces are an explosion of flavour, the maple facon is a great counterpoint to everything, and the onions just top it off perfectly! The whole thing also has this delicious smokiness throughout it. I have a new must visit food destination when I'm next in London!
Pros: Everything about the taste., Friendly staff., Simple environmentally friendly packaging.
Cons: My wife couldn't try it due to mushroom patty. , Be nice if they had a good side to go with it!, I don't live in London.

Gone - Edit
They have now disappeared from Borough Market and everywhere else it seems. Their website says that they are "taking a break" so that doesn't sound good. Veganuary is not the month to take a break. Shame as they were the best burger that I ever tasted and I was a regular down there in my lunch hour. What a pity, a great loss to London vegan cuisine.

Cons: No longer there!

Difficult to find - Edit
I don’t know if it always is but this was in the outdoor market section. I also found Horn Ok when I stood with my burger next to the wall by the church.
Read moreA great option if you like a good burger, though be prepared to get messy as it’s big and slippy. Around £7-8 for a burger. I think it’s just the 4 burgers they do, no sides etc.
Card only.
Pros: Vegan, Decent burger, No queue
Cons: Expensive but it is London..., Difficult to find , Looks like they only do burgers, no drinks etc

Good Gluten Free Options - Edit
I'm becoming quite a regular of the Borough Markets and have now been to Big V twice. The first time they only had one gluten free option (a spicy chickpea burger with peppers and tamarind sauce) which was absolutely delicious. I went again recently and they have now made every burger available as gluten free! I had the maple bacon one, and again, it was superb. However, the staff that day were a little icy towards me, but maybe that's just a result of the weather...

good but not awesome - Edit
The Borough Market itself is a fantastic place. I was really curious about those burgers after reading other reviews, so it was on my list from the beginning.
Read moreI must say, that it was good. Good but not awesome, as I expected. I ordered a classic cheeseburger. The bun was crispy, veggies were fresh and the creamy sauce was really tasty. However, the cutlet was a small disappointment. The taste was really delicate, hard to separate from the rest flavours and and its consistency was too soft in my opinion.
All in all, it was good, but I had better ones.
Pros: crispy bun, fresh veggies, good sauce
Cons: very delicate cutlet flavour, too soft cutlet

Seriously the best burgers ever!!!! - Edit
I was told to come here by someone who wasn’t even vegan and wow I cannot express how good those burgers were! it was the best burger I’ve ever had! I went with two others and we all got different burgers so I tried three of them and I was shocked how different the burgers could be from each other, but were still so good. If you were to go anywhere in London! YOU HAVE TO GO HERE!!

Decent burger - Edit
After all the amazing reviews I was expecting a lot from the V Burger, but it didn’t quite satisfy me as much as it seems to satisfy every one else. I wouldn’t rush back for one.

Great choice of tasty burgers - Edit
Excellent choice of great tasting vegan burgers. Bit on the pricey side but it's expected in the location. Main problem is nowhere to sit and enjoy their goodness.

incredible burgers - Edit
One classic and one holy smoke for us. Excellent. Superb. The burgers are made to order so you first queue to order then wait 5-10 minutes after you have ordered. You need to look around 20-30 meters around where Google maps shows ... we missed the stall at first.
Read moreAlso, first look around where there are tables or seats nearby before you queue, all the food stalls are very busy so you may have to stand. Obviously most customers are regulars so know the routine.
Pros: excellent
Cons: You may need to stand to eat

Dissapointing that gluten free food is cooked in the same places as the one containing gluten.

1000% Amazing - Edit
This was, by far, the best veggie burger I’ve ever had. And I’ve been vegan for over 13 years and eat a lot of grub food. Absolutely incredible! Very busy too! PS I had the facon cheeseburger.

Blown away by the burger - Edit
I ordered the facon cheese burger and was so impressed... it was quite possibly the best vegan burger I’ve ever tasted! Such delicious flavour combinations and sauces with every bite, and a seriously filling portion size too (it could barely fit in my face).
