The best vegan place in Iquitos

Tasty food! The main menu consists of self-made burgers but dish of the day may be local Peruvian food. Nice atmosphere! Thank you!

Real vegan food

Restaurante pequeño con un ambiente muy acogedor. Comida vegana peruana (menú diario muy económico, el plato cambia cada día) y hamburguesas hechas por ellos mismos. También tienen limonadas y smoothies.
Pedimos menú del dia que consistía en sopa y un plato de arroz, frijoles y plátano frito y probamos las hamburguesas plantívora (avena y fibra de maní) y bien plantada (avena y soja). Para acabar un banana shake buenísimo!!
En general muy buena experiencia en Iquitos, support your local vegan!!

Erratic schedule

This is a review about service, not the food itself. I came to Iquitos in February 2022 and went to this place twice at lunch time, only to find it closed during hours when it was supposed to be open. Then I returned to Iquitos at the end of June 2023. I found it closed again, so I called the phone number and the owner told me that they were closed for the holiday weekend and that they would reopen on Monday; fair enough. I called on Monday before I went and this time he said they are still closed and are going to remain closed for some period of time that he did not specify. I'm sure the food is very good here and I wish that I had been able to try it, but the erratic schedule made that impossible. If you decide to go here be sure to call or send a message via WhatsApp to make sure it is open before you go.

An amazing find in Iquitos

So grateful for vegan food!

The burger was delicious, made from oats. There was a spaghetti with vegan bolognese that totally slappppped! The entire meal was spot on after 18 hours of traveling. Would definitely go back. The service was friendly, the place is warm and welcoming.

Vegan “meat” sauce. I’m a lifelong vegetarian (milk is okay but not eggs) so I’m always a bit worried about having a sensitive stomach. 24 hours later and I feel great! at Bien Plantado in Iquitos

Great veggie food!

Super delicious burger and amazing vegan strawberry milkshake! Was lovely to eat local Peruvian food but made for vegetarians! Only downside is there was just one option of a meal, a veggie burger which was tasty but I would have liked a second option aswell ideally.

Pros: Healthy home-made food, Reasonably priced based on the area, Lovely owner/staff

Cons: Not the cheapest (worth it though) , Not that many options for meals, Very dim lighting haha

Great place !

Small but delicious menu and the owner speaks English and is very nice and helpful. Great prices ! Changing menu and 3 types of burgers , and the best milkshake I’ve had in a while !

Everything homemade

The strawberry milkshake with homemade peanut milk was amazing.
I also got a burger with chips which was delicious, too.
The owner is really friendly and and so is the restaurant dog.
There's a menu of the day as well.

Lovely!

Really nice vegan burgers, not greasy and taste healthy. An option of fries would have been nice but the burgers are a really good portion on their own. Also the milkshakes are really nice, a must try if in Iquitos!

Geweldig! Voelde me gelijk thuis toen ik binnenstapte, heel knus.
Alles is vegan.
Lieve mensen hele goede energie.
Ik heb een milkshake aardbei en een hamburger besteld.
Deze milkshake is de beste milkshake die ik ooit geproeft heb!
De burger was ook heerlijk.
Uiteindelijk hoefde ik weinig te betalen voor wat ik kreeg.
Dit is een goed restaurant om heen te gaan als je hier bent voor ayahuasca

Legendary burgers

I had the combo burger and it was one of the best veg burgers I’ve had ANYWHERE. Amazing chocolate shake also. Super tasty and friendly I wish I could go back more times and I went twice in a row.

Impresionante

La mejor hamburguesa vegana que he comido en mi vida! El local es súper acogedor y además el chico que nos atendió fue un encanto! Super recomendable!

wow, tasteful burger!

It's more of a takeaway imbiss and when I came the guy was alone and on his way to deliver some food, so I waited for him to come back. Let me tell you, it was so worth it. The burger was so yummy, one of the best I've had (and I've had many). This guy really knows what he's doing there! The flavours, the crispiness, the veggies... very delicious! Recommended!

Pros: 100% vegan, amazingly delicious , friendly owner, good prize

Cons: not that cosy, more for deliverys, a bit hard to find, there were just burgers on the menu

Great hamburgers

Amazing, cheap prices and I even got my hamburgers delivered to where I was twice. If I ever come back I’ll ask for these again, great service and great food!
