Amazing lunch

All the food on the menu sounded amazing! Even my non-vegan partner enjoyed it and the highlight was definitely the sticky toffee pudding. I can’t wait to go back and the staff were so helpful and made it a lovely afternoon out. #Veganuary

Absolutely Incredible 😋

Had an amazing meal here, the options were absolutely divine and the staff and atmosphere were lovely. I had the sweet potato pakora wrap with the homemade soup with sticky toffee pudding for desert - one of the best meals out I’ve had in a while and will be back again and again!!

Delicious Breakfast

Popped in for breakfast this morning. Lovely building, friendly staff and service, and a great range of food choices. Loved all the vegan pastries on offer as well as diy toast, fruits, cereals etc and cooked breakfast options. We’ll definitely be back to stay over and sample all the other food throughout a longer stay.
A note re parking, don’t pull in where you see the Beck Hall sign, a little past it if going up the hill is the entrance to the Carpark.

Fully vegan and dog friendly!

We have just stayed for two nights with our two dogs. I have never stayed at a more dog friendly hotel. The Vegan menu is so good .We had afternoon tea when we arrived which was huge and then we had dinner in the restaurant on the second night. A lovely varied menu and the same at breakfast - all delicious x

Pros: Dog friendly , Amazing food , Lovely staff

Perfect stay and meals for vegans

Went just before it turns fully vegan in 3 days! If this is the quality now, I can’t wait to see what they deliver following the change over. Some of the best vegan food I’ve had. Partner has a nut allergy and always catered for and mentioned before we did! We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights/3 days and will return.

Pros: Variety , Speedy, Fresh

Cons: Nothing

A Vegan treasure.

This place is owned by vegans. The chef provides top quality vegan food. And from December 1st becomes the first totally English vegan hotel and restaurant. It hits all the buttons for us.

Pros: Excellent Vegan food (100% vegan from December), First class service, Great atmosphere

Cons: Nothing to dislike!

Would love to go back to spend the night!

The menu looked great but the food was way better than I'd expected! We got the seitan rib to share- my only criticism here is that it could have been cut into two or four to make it more tender when cooked but the flavour was excellent. Samosas were a perfect level of spice, with lovely crisp pastey. I got the banana blossom fish n chips, easily the best banana blossom fish I've had as it was separated into strips before being battered rather than being one soggy lump! The restaurant and hotel are dog friendly, there's a gorgeous outside seating area by the river which must be so nice in summer - it was pouring with rain when we went but it was nice watching a kingfisher through the window! Would definitely like to go back and stay the night.
Vegan options are labelled PB for plantbased and a disclaimer at the start of the menu does point out the cross contamination risk but they clearly care about the food they're making, and everything about the restaurant is to a high standard with great attention to detail so I wasn't as worried as I might have been in other pubs and restaurants. They also have a gender neutral and accessible toilet within the restaurant which I liked. They've also got one of the best children's menus I've seen in a place like this - you can build your own meal with a range of options which included vegan sausages (think they were Richmond) or vegan fish bites, then two sides. Really good portion size and options young uns will actually want to eat! They also do smaller meals like beans on toast suitable for toddlers.

Pros: Dog friendly , Lots of carefully thought out, tasty vegan options, Beautiful setting by the river

Cons: Seitan could have been cut up for tenderness, Chunky chips are basically half a potato

Plant based delights

Lovely setting right by the stream, great service, really good beer plus an amazing selection of plant-based (and normal) food including starters such as seitan rips, banana blossom fish and chips, stroganoff, plus lots of other mains, tapas options, sandwiches, wraps and desserts 😋

Dog friendly, super clean toilets, can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Pros: Varied selection of vegan options , Lovely setting/staff, Great service

Lovely Vegan Friendly Hotel

Loved this place, so much choice for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Set in the most beautiful part of the UK. Great walks, we loved the one to Janet's Foss, Gordale Scar and Malham Cove. We don't have a dog, but most guests did, it was the most welcoming and accommodating place for them.

Pros: Lots of choice, menu about 50% vegan , Beautiful setting, lovely staff, Very dog friendly if you have one

Cons: None unless you don't like being around dogs!

Unbelievably Good

Absolutely brilliant food and a great atmosphere/decor.
Dogs are not only welcome but cared for by the staff.

Vegan Sunday roast is the best I’ve had out and about. Sticky toffee pudding was sensational.

Loads of vegan options. Tapas, starters, sandwiches, mains and desserts.
All sides are vegan inc chips & fries

Pros: As many vegan as non vegan options, Full vegan wine list and most drinks are too, Vegan Sunday roast

Cons: Expensive-ish but worth it

Delightful bistro with great vegan dishes

Really delightful bistro in an idyllic location next to the river in Malham. Very nice interior, plenty of space, and a good atmosphere. The food was excellent with a good variety of dishes. Great vegan options including dessert. We all went for the Sunday roast vegan version, in our case with vegan sausages. Apparently we were told that the owners are vegan and this is evident in the quality of the vegan choices on the menu. The sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice-cream was heavenly. There was a good range of vegan ice-creams from Northern Bloc. The service was also absolutely great, friendly and attentive. What a great place. We will definitely return and have booked in for cream tea.

Pros: Great vegan options including dessert, Lovely setting, interior space, and atmosphere, Friendly and attentive service

Big choice

There was a big choice of vegan options...unfortunately not for this vegan! For me there was too much tofu, far too much onion in everything and hardy any veg. I would have given 3 stars but the vegan sticky toffee pudding was delish, it was worth the visit just for that.
Staff were efficient and friendly.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Fab vegan pud, Drinks labeled vegan

Cons: Too much tofu, Bit pricey , Needs fresh veg

Did not quite live up to its potential

I had been looking forward to this but they forgot some elements of the dish- gluten free bread was a complete letdown. Great flavour to the vegan wellington but skimpy on the filling only two small mushrooms I would have expected more for £15.

It was okay overall but when I eat out I expect dishes that are at least as good as I can make but should be better

Pros: Good option both Vegan and gluten free, Good service, Nice decor

Cons: A bit pricey , GF and vegan options had cheap nasty elements, Allows dogs but lots of barking
