Amazing food - Edit
This is undoubtedly the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to! The food was next level, with a good range of options. We had the babyback ribs, samosas and mushroom truffle toast to start, followed by the banana blossom and chips, thali, and burger. The place is also super dog friendly, providing little mats and treats.

Cons: Tables are kinda close together, You have to cross a rock footbridge to enter

Fabulous hotel and setting - Edit
Staff here are so friendly, food is fantastic! It's dog friendly and the surrounding area has lovely walks. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Stayed two nights tried most things, everything was really tasty. Banana blossom and 'shrimp' cocktail were interesting and afternoon tea was fab too! Personal highlight was the scones.

Highly recommend - Edit
We stayed at BeckHall for 2 nights, the location is serene with great walks, lovely staff and delicious food. Such a treat to be able to go away without worrying about where to source vegan food. Also had plenty of gluten free options and were able to make a gluten free afternoon tea for us when we only enquired the day before, highly recommend.

Wonderful place to eat and stay - Edit
We loved our stay at Beck Hall. Helpful staff, delicious food, well stocked bar (including vegan cask ales, which are rarely found), and a beautiful snug room in which hotel guests can sit and drink by the fireplace and chat to other guests.
Read moreThe breakfast is particularly good - during our time we tried the full breakfast, sasuage and scrambled tofu bap, avocado on sourdough, and the various pastries.
The lunch sandwich and soup options are decent. You can also order bigger meals or an afternoon tea.
For dinner I really enjoyed the special (jerusalem artichoke gnocchi) and the eton mess for dessert.
There are some exceptional (and easy) walking routes straight from the hotel door.
Pros: 100% vegan food and drinks, Innovative and varied menu, Beautiful setting

Love this place - Edit
We had a perfect start to 2025 with a stay here.
Read moreComfortable rooms, we were in a classic and found enough room for ourselves and the greyhound. It's an incredibly dog friendly place!
The food is fabulous. Classics veganised and some vegan classics too. Lots of choice, whether you're wfpb or into alternatives.
Breakfast is a treat - you need to try the tofu scramble! It's better than mine, and I rarely find that anywhere.
It's a relief to stay somewhere all vegan - we will be heading back.

I stayed her for two nights and it was delightful!
Read moreSo much choice I couldn’t try everything I wanted to but looking forward to a return visit already.
Delicious breakfasts, lovely Sunday lunch.
Had a Thali and blossom fish and chips. The lemon chia cheesecake was lovely as was the chocolate pot.
Wonderful old building in gorgeous setting with great staff.
Only issue was some of the food was a little cold.
Other than that, highly recommend. I would imagine you need to book a table in the summer.

A must-visit for vegans - Edit
A wide selection of food from a range of countries and styles which is a nice change from the bog standard vegan bean burger. The starters were excellent (prawn cocktail and samosas). The curry main was okay but nowhere near the best we've ever had. The short rib was so interesting and unique and very rich. We had the "Eton mess" for pudding which had figs and weirdly balsamic glaze. They do seem to like experimenting with flavours! Breakfast was brilliant - fry up available as well as other options like avo on toast and pancakes. They also serve continental foods and pastries. If you go here I'd suggest getting the things that are difficult to get vegan elsewhere. The staff were all lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Anniversary meal - Edit
Lots of choice. We had the mushroom starter and soup, then the suet pudding which was great. My wife had the lasagne special which was average. The desserts were excellent as were the staff. Breakfast the next morning was great. Think they need to replace the leather seats in the fireplace area however if they want to call themselves a 100% vegan establishment. However it is a lovely place .

I think that is why they call it plant based. In the question section on the website they say that they are not replacing non- vegan things as it is not environmentally friendly. However, anything that they do replace is vegan.

Roast - Edit
We booked the Sunday roast and after a great walk that morning, we sat down in the cosy dining room to enjoy it.
Read moreThere were three “meat” options accompanied by roasties, veg, cauliflower cheese and joy-of-joys Yorkshire puddings all smothered in fantastic gravy. We were in Heaven!
After demolishing our fantastic roast dinner we followed it up with sticky toffee pudding - another triumph!
We left feeling happy and full, which is exactly what you want after a delicious Sunday dinner.
Highly recommended but make sure you book because they were busy and we saw a few folks turned away who hadn’t.

Ate here for (non resident) breakfast one Sunday in November. Very easy to book a table via whatsapp and their website. Lovely chai pudding. Sourdough toast very nice indeed (w avo and carrot lox). Relaxed ambience inside. Would recommend this place, especially to dog lovers. Would return to try Sunday dinner etc!

Fantastic with some minor improvements - Edit
We ate here three times in three days. Some dishes are definitely better than others but the quality was very high overall and we would love to come again.
Read moreBanana Blossom Fish and Chips was awesome but some slightly odd flavours in the sauces. Desserts and Starters were all really nice. Really enjoyed the roast but thought the cauliflower cheese could be cheesier and there were no yorkies😒
The Kofte dish had wayyyy too much parsley. We laughed about it at the time.
Portions all very generous.
As someone who is uncomfortable around dogs that I don’t know after being attacked a few years ago, I would appreciate dog/no dog zones, much like smoker/non-smoker in the 90’s!
Pros: Very large portions , No nuts in the restaurant, Fresh
Cons: Dogs everywhere, Parsley lol

Lovely break - Edit
Stayed here with my partner for a night for our joint birthday in early October, it was overall a fantastic break.
Read moreThere were a few minor things that we felt let down by, firstly there was some miscommunication over the phone from the general manager; on the journey over we called to say we were running 1/2 hour late for our reservation, and were made to feel like we weren’t able to eat that evening due to the pressure of the kitchen needing to be closed by a specific time. It was disappointing to see the restaurant full upon arrival and new customers still coming in. We managed to have food and drinks but it did make us feel a bit out of place initially. Secondly, the bedroom was really quite mouldy with mould in the bathroom, and on the blinds in the bedroom which were very close to the bed. For breakfast I ordered pancakes which had far too much agave syrup on making the dish overly sweet and a little odd tasting. Despite these minor issues, we absolutely loved staying here, the area is stunning and it was great to such a wide variety of food and cocktails to choose from.

Excellent but not perfect! - Edit
It feels a bit churlish not to give this place a five because it's so wonderful having a 100% plant-based hotel. However, my partner's Indian thali was not great. (She's not vegan so it was especially disappointing...) The worst bit was the main curry part, which tasted like it came out of a packet. However, everything else was fabulous, especially my steak pudding and sides and the sticky toffee pudding. The wines and friendly staff and breakfast were all fantastic too. You have to like (or at least tolerate!) dogs. They're a bit of a feature. Hopefully next time (and there will be a next time) all will be perfect! (Probably from picking a different option...)

2nd visit and just as fab - Edit
Our 2nd visit this year and it was just divine again. We've now tried almost everything on the menu between us! Highlights from this trip were the pomegranate and rose mess, as it hadn't been available last time we visited, and it was SO delicious! There was a soup special of red cabbage and carrot cream and it was unbelievable, would recommend! We had a beautiful room overlooking the beck. So many beautiful walks right from the doorstep. Staff are wonderful and the place is just beautiful. Our dog loves it ❤️

Absolutely stunning can't wait to go back - Edit
The joy of being able to choose anything from an entire menu is huge. Everything from the extensive breakfast was stunning. The dinner menu caters for people less used to vegan food with some meat alt options as well as true vegan dishes. Ideal, if you are taking a partner who has not seen the light yet. The setting is magical, rooms lovely with all cruelty free products. Cocktails in the snug pre/post dinner in the snug with the fire lit was a delight.

It’s absolutely amazing. Like, WOW. - Edit
We had a one night stay at Beck Hall, which as a hotel is brilliant. Friendly staff, cool place, super dog friendly (we have four spaniels that were made to feel very welcome), with an exceptional outside dining space next to the beck. We stopped for lunch before checking in. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the best banana blossom and chips I’ve ever had, some of the tastiest vegan food I’ve ever had, unbelievable. We had dinner that day as part of our stay, again, exceptional. The choice and variety in dishes is great, with everything coming out of the kitchen looking sensational. Breakfast the next morning was unsurprisingly delicious. We plan on coming back for lunch during the week to try more vegan delights. Go now. Stop whatever you’re doing and go.

Beck Hall absolutely blew me away!!
Read moreI've been wanting to go every since they turned fully vegan but just never got round to it, I went for my birthday a couple of days ago and honestly couldn't have asked for better!
We all had the Sunday roast and every single person (two vegans and three omnis) absolutely loved it! My omni brother said it was the best yorkshire pudding he's ever had and I agree!!
An absolute must visit place, everything about it is incredible. Even having to cross a little bridge over water to get there just adds to how magical this place is.
I'm 100% going to be returning and hopefully next time I'll be able to book in to stay and sample even more of the menu and the breakfast buffet.
Pros: Fully vegan, Food was incredible, Location is perfect

Delicious food and beautiful views - Edit
Located just by the river in the small English countryside town of Malham, this vegan hotel features a welcoming staff and an extensive menu. We stayed for a week, which was just enough time for us to try everything on the menu that we wanted. Nothing was bad; most dishes were delicious. I think the best one was the afternoon tea (which has to be reserved beforehand) but I also really liked one of the burgers and the sticky toffee pudding.
Read moreFor breakfast, there is a small buffet with yogurt, cereals, plant milks, bread, a small selection of fruits, and a few different pastries like pain au chocolat. You can also order from the breakfast menu, which offers five or six different dishes, such as pancakes, oatmeal, a full English breakfast, and more. Breakfast is included for hotel guests (including the dishes on the menu) but is also available for others.
It's recommended to reserve a table, especially during high season. We saw several groups being turned away at the door because they didn't have any tables left.
You should also visit for the stunning nature, with waterfalls, high cliffs, and other beautiful landscapes just a 20-30 minute walk from Beck Hall.
Pros: Extensive menu, Delicious, Friendly staff and fast service

We had a great one-night stay at Beck Hall, the place and location are fantastic, but best of all, was the amazing vegan food. For the evening meal was brilliant.
