Ask for the Vegan menu! - Edit
A nice little cafe stop on the way to Malham Cove!
Read moreAsk for the separate vegan menu!
I had the Vegan breakfast which was nice enough plus a latte with Oat milk. They only have oat milk as an alternative option but would be better if they had others.
Vegan cakes are advertised on the menu but couldn't see them on the counter so not sure if they were kept separate or unavailable and didn't get chance to ask.
The cafe seems to get very busy but we were lucky to get a table.
The shop sells some nice gifts too.

No longer do sausage rolls - Edit
They stop doing most food at 2:30pm. Didn’t see many vegan options (they had a burger). Lots of cakes but none were labelled vegan that I saw. Asked if they did vegan sausage rolls and was told no because of electric costs. We were told sorry but not offered any alternatives for food so we left and returned to Beck Hall instead. Could be a lovely little tearoom with animal friendly offerings - hopefully electric prices go down and they return their menu.

Cheap and cheerful - Edit
Delicious vegan sausage roll and vegan sausage bap. Their veggie burger (meat substitute style) and chips were very nice for £6.50 and the portion size was good.

Plenty Vegan Options - Edit
A friend recommended The Old Barn so I messaged to ask about vegan options and visited after a 9 mile walk. Lovely tearooms with lots of outside seating to the front and a lovely courtyard to the rear. Ordered tomato soup served with bread and vegan breakfast. Delicious food with soya or almond milk to go with drinks. It was nice and reassuring the waitress pointed out they had used vegan margarine on the toast and with the bread with my soup. I could not resist cake as they had four today a flapjack, Victoria sponge, chocolate cake and chocolate brownie. I chose the brownie which was scrumptious and how a brownie should be, crisp on the outside, gooey and very chocolatey on the inside.. It's hard to find vegan options especially out in the sticks so great to find The Old Barn Tearoom.
