Great

- Drunken noodles with tofu - excellent 10/10

Would be great to see even more vegan options in the future on the menu!

Good, but not Great

I wasn't entirely impressed by this restaurant, though overall the experience was good. I think the biggest downside is that the restaurant is very modern, so it feels impersonal and has the vibe of a chain restaurant. I like Thai restaurants that have a more cozy feel. My husband's curry was alright, but we've had better. I did enjoy my Pad Thai which I was able to order vegan and it was still really good! That's why I wanted to go there and it came in clutch! The service was good.

Good service

Good Thai food, friendly service. I had garden rolls and the pad see ew with tofu and no egg. Everything was served quickly and with a smile. Food was fresh and flavorful. I would definitely return if I’m looking for Thai food in this area again.

Solid Thai food with great service

Really enjoyed our meal here. Several dishes can be veganized. Flavors were good and wait staff were exceptionally friendly and quick.

Really solid Thai

I like this place so much I order delivery all the way up to Silver Spring. Yeah, it's not piping hot by then, but it's worth it. Most Thai places have a fried tofu appetizer, but Beau covers theirs in sesame seeds and it's amazing. I have also yet to find a main dish that wasn't really tasty - and I have tried several by now.

Appoints! (Opposite of disappoints)

A colleague on Okinawa suggested Beau Thai for when I moved to DC. I had their drunken noodles and crispy tofu, with a friend last year. With COVID-19, restaurants aren't a treat, but a chance to support local businesses. Last week I had the flavorful pineapple fried rice with tofu. Right now I'm savoring their Panang curry with tofu, on my balcony this lovely spring day. Oh how I love panang, it's my all-time favorite. I could DRINK the sauce!

Pros: Many items can be organized with tofu as an option

Veg Friendly Thai

You know what happens when you go to a Thai restaurant- if you're Veg, you try to ask about the shrimp paste or the fish sauce with limited success. Not at Beau Thai! This place makes it clear upfront what you can order if you don't eat animal products. It's awesome.

Pad Thai? Ok, maybe it's not vegan, but they have drunken noodles that are fabulously vegan. They also mark items gluten free. It's legit because they let you know that just because you make the protein tofu, doesn't mean the dish is vegan! That's honest and so much more satisfying than fallciously telling you that it's veg when it's not.

Mango sticky rice and spring rolls- I could eat these all day. The tofu appetizer is fun, too- love sesame seeds! Plenty of vegetable stir fry dishes and you can get delicious pineapple fried rice, too!

Writing this makes me hungry- see you at Beau Thai. It's in an up and coming area of D.C., so for now, it's not too crazy by D.C. parking standards. If you can ride your bike or walk/ Metro, better choices!

Pros: Marks vegan, Drunken vegan noodles, Sticky rice with mango

Cons: Many dishes can't be veganized
