Deliciously delightful! - Edit
I’m not a fan of pancakes usually, and it’s usually hard to find vegan pancakes in the deep south, but I decided to try them here and wow they were delightful! The biscuits and gravy were also a real treat! I’ve been before and had many other vegan dishes and they’re all really tasty as well! Highly recommend!

Many options for vegans - Edit
This place is not fully vegan but has many options for vegans that are clearly listed on the menu. I ordered the chips and queso which were decent and I ordered their “country” style burger. To be honest, I did not care for the burger due to the barbecue sauce that was on it. If you end up ordering the burger make sure to put the sauce on the side. I think I got unlucky with my order so I won’t knock points for the bad burger. The potatoes were delicious, but I wish I would have ordered something else.

Not allergy or vegan friendly. Mean staff. - Edit
If you have food allergies avoid like your life depends on it. After making it very clear to our server that I'm allergic to dairy I was served a coffee made with whole milk. When I left without paying the bill they yelled behind me "I hope you have the day you deserve." Clearly not. I had one last day in NOLA, which I'm now going to have to spend in a Benadryl coma. Allergies are not a joke. This was unreasonably cruel. Definitely don't recommend.

A great place for all!
Read moreI ordered the bearcat tofu scramble with a side of blueberry pancakes that was paired with vegan butter and blueberry syrup and it was all amazing! I also had an alcoholic drink made with mezcal and enjoyed it as well.
I look forward to trying more options when I’m in town!

I love that bearcat cafe has almost as many vegan options as non vegan options. The food is also delicious and the servings are very generous.

Family Brunch Place - Edit
This is our go-to for brunch because it has something for every person/diet in our family: meat eaters, gluten free, vegetarian/vegan. The staff is super friendly, refillable coffee and excellent vegan choices. It's also a lot of food for the money - I got the Vegan Ranchero and couldn't even finish it. They don't take reservations, so get there early.

The best tofu scramble - Edit
Their tofu scramble is almost as good as mine. Which is saying a lot. Plus their vegan queso is the very best I’ve ever had.

Delicious Vegan Options - Edit
This is a place with legit, delicious vegan options and other food for those who want meat and dairy. I’m annoyed that Happy Cow will only let me give it four stars.

Just okay - Edit
My dish (mushrooms with hummus and asparagus) was sweet and the flavors just didn’t mesh. The chips and queso were good, but the chips were unbelievably greasy. My iced matcha was watery, but I had to wait quite a while after receiving a text that my order was ready so it likely was sitting

Tons of vegan options! - Edit
Tons of vegan options that are tasty and super filling, both savory and sweet. I recommend the tofu scrambles, pancakes, and potatoes! There are plenty of non-vegan options as well.

I daydream of their biscuits & gravy - Edit
Recommend? Yessssss.
Read moreThis is not an all vegan establishment. Everything on the table is vegan aside from the latte and perhaps the mimosa. Pictured is quesadilla, breakfast potatoes, biscuits and gravy, blueberry pancake, Xiong Mao noodles, and cauliflower bites.
Mimosa - Your normal bubbly with fresh squeezed oj.
Breakfast Potatoes - This brings the addictive crispy potatoes up to another notch. The sauce brings tartness. The pico brings freshness to cut through all the starch. And avocado to give a bit of creaminess. This was really good but I think I like the crispy potatoes as is.
Blueberry pancake - This comes with vegan butter and vegan syrup. I was mind blown that I didn't have to specify that. Much thanks to my server on that day. I'm not a huge fan of pancake to be honest, but I definitely loved this one. The batter wasn't too dense and the blueberries makes it bright. Spread some butter on it and bathe it in syrup and it's pancake heaven. Also if you're anything like me, you can order one single pancake which is what I did.
Biscuits and Gravy - Oh my goodness. I've missed biscuits so much since I've gone vegan. Someone on here warned me about the hefty amount of scallions that comes on it and yeah that is a lot. I scraped most of it off. Creamy sauce with the right amount of savory. Tender biscuit but not soggy.
I didn't try the quesadilla since I figured it's the same as the breakfast burrito I had a couple of days earlier and while that was good I won't be getting it again.
Cauliflower bites are supposed to be buffalo, but I didn’t get the buffalo flavor. The dip it came with was pretty good and I would love it as a spread. I don’t think it was battered, but lightly floured.
The Xiong Mao noodles were so light. It was exploding with fresh flavors. Loaded with veggies. Definitely won’t leave you feeling guilty.
This location has a larger vegan menu than the CBD location. Remember that if you come on a Sunday to be prepared to wait so don't wait until you're hungry to arrive or else you'll give your lunch date hangry attitude.

Best breakfast! - Edit
I ordered the vegan quesadilla and a side of vegan pancakes. The waiter was very kind and continued to offer me different warmth options since I sat outside on their front porch. A bit of a trek since I was staying near the convention center, but totally worth the bike ride. Wish I could have had time to go back again!

Worth it. - Edit
Sometimes, they’re very busy. First time I attempted to go here, they were in a brunch rush and I bailed. Second attempt, they were busy, but we waited it out. SO GOOD. Best matcha latte with coconut milk i’ve had in New Orleans so far, and the potatoes that come alongside most dishes are now a daily craving of mine. I’ve been 3 times since and 2 of those times i’ve gotten the vegan grilled cheese- totally recommend. The addition of apricot on the grilled cheese is a thing of beauty.
