Great options - Edit
This cafe has so many great options for vegans, really extensive food menu as well as non dairy milks and cakes. Had a really lovely vegan cheesecake! Will definitely return for a main meal

Great cake - Edit
Good to find somewhere with vegan options in Helmsley. Popped in for cake - there were three different vegan types. Both the ones we tried (chocolate brownie and chocolate and salted caramel slice) were delicious. Staff were friendly but one guy was quite flippant about which nuts were on top of the brownie (my wife has a nut allergy). Menu looked good.

Lots of options. Welcoming. Helpful. - Edit
Separate veggie & vegan menu with extra items compared to main menu. Can recommend a good-sized toasted panini! Good coffee.

Nice village cafe - Edit
Nice little cafe with plenty of vegan options and friendly staff. I got the- pesto, vegan cheese and pepper panini, it was nice and had a generous filling, but, it wasn’t heated through enough, they should try heating/melting the vegan cheese a little ahead before they add it to the bread to give it longer to cook through. My friend got a breakfast which he liked, but it was a small in size for the price.

Cons: Expensive for the portion size , Sells meat so smells of it being cooked.

Nice little cafe - Edit
We had the vegan paninis(chickpeas, mayo and cheese), soya lattes and tried the chocolate fudge cake and the lemon and blueberry cake. Everything was really delicious and there were quite a few vegan options on the menu.

Order panini from the vegan menu and liked it so much we stayed and had some of the vegan cake! We’ll be going back next time we’re passing through.

Great place for vegans - Edit
Great little cafe for vegans in this otherwise largely traditional rural town. Hidden away in an arcade so takes some searching out but quiet and has outdoor seating. Good for cyclists as you can leave the bike by the entrance. Delicious vegan paninis and cakes, with soya and oat milk for drinks. Owner vegan aware and helpful. Health food shop just across the courtyard sells vegan products too.

Decent Selection of Options in a Vegan Desert - Edit
Grateful to find somewhere with actual vegan options in Helmsley where they seem few and far between. However, not sure if we caught them on an off day, but the owner/manager was rude and abrupt. It was very busy everywhere and the only free tables here seated 4 or 5. We asked if we could take one for the 2 of us, which was a flat out no, then my Omni friend just started to say it was the only place with vegan options and the manager interupted with 'you're not having one of those tables'. We reluctantly waited for a free table as there was little alternative. Waitress polite and friendly, food tasty, vegan coleslaw came with the sandwich. But the experience sadly left a sour taste.

Brilliant - Edit
A really good array of vegan sandwiches and breakfasts. Soya and oat milk available for drinks. I had a panini and it was really delicious.
Read moreI would go as far as to say these guys are too cheap - it’s great value compared to most of the places in Helmsley. Just make sure to ask for the vegan menu if there isn’t already one on the table.
Pros: Good array of vegan options, Great food, Cheap

Excellent service - Edit
Waiter came straight out and asked if we wanted to see the vegan or gluten free menu. We had vegan breakfasts and they filled us up all day, amazing! Sausages not overcooked or dry as they can be elsewhere and tasted herby. Without being too heavy or stuffed. They obviously understand vegans as were quick to point out that the spread that came with the toast is vegan, without being prompted. Good value. Probably the best place for vegans in this town that seems a bit mad about country sports.

Dog friendly and very welcoming - Edit
We had soup and panini which were both really tasty. Plenty of vegan options including sandwiches, paninis, soups & breakfasts. Super friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. They even looked after our doggo with treats even though he was very noisy.
